15. Starry Night ♡

The sky turned dark in no time. Everyone started returning to their respective tents since the bon fire was cancelled as everyone was tired.

Meanwhile Chanyeol's eyes were searching for her , coz after the incident no one saw her but she appeared only for dinner since the teacher forced her.

But she disappeared again. 

He was worried as hell . He was unable to decide whether to ask her bestie or not.

Right then she appeared. He sighed when he saw Yumi dragging her to their tent.

He fixed his gaze until she disappeared inside the tent.

It was midnight and everyone was sleeping sound.

But one person couldn't sleep. He was turning his sides to sleep but couldn't.

 So he slowly slipped out to wander for a while. 

As soon as he came out the first thing he saw was the petite girl's tent properly zipped up. He sighed before walking off.

 While wandering he saw someone sitting near the end of the cliff. 

As he neared a familiar figure could be seen. On hearing his foot steps the figure turned.

"Who's there? "She asked 

"It's me Chanyeol "she turned away nodding.  

He slowly approached her, deciding whether to sit or not but he was startled "you can sit " he sat anyways.

 "Not sleepy? "She asked

"U too? "She nodded.

 There was an immense silence for a while ; IU enjoying the sight and Chanyeol staring at her. 

"It's creepy  u know? "she cut the silence.

 "Yes? "He was startled.

 "It's creepy when someone stares at you " she smiled on seeing him blush madly before turning his gaze. 

"You know...."she started again "I always wanted to be at a place like this "then suddenly a cold breeze hit their faces making her bangs fiddle. 

"Beautiful "he muttered loud enough unknowingly.

"Yes "she said looking at the starry sky and he chuckled a bit on her innocence.

"Firstly...I never talk to strangers" she stated "but now ! Dunno why ?"she smiles glancing at him as he's listening to her .

He smiles hearing that. 

"About the incident earlier....don't worry it's sorted "he hesitatingly states trying not to offend her.

 "I know. Yumi convinced me anyways "she chuckles.

 "I can't be angry with her for longer "completing with a smile. 

"I've never seen you smile before except for Yumi "he says , she frowns a lil so he regrets

 "I didn't mean..."but he was cut again

 "It's okay you ain't offending me" she chuckles. 

"Heol! Did she again read my mind?" He thinks 

"I don't read minds fyi "she chuckles on seeing his startled face. 

He just grins while rubbing his nape sheepishly , she giggles. 

Then there comes the silence again. 

"Friends? " he lifts his hand for a handshake while she hesitates while frowning on sudden action. 

"It's OK if....."he was cut , as she soon grabs his hand before he could take away his hand. 

"Friends !" She smiles sweetly. 

His heart flutters on the sudden touch. 

Their eyes meet and IU''s heart beat also pacing up. 

She breaks the contact first. And grabs her hand back. 

"Thank you for accepting my friendship "he smiles 

"Thank you "she replies. 

"For what? "He frowns 

"I Don't have friends besides Yumi so.."she purses her lips into a sad smile. 

"But why "

"Don't know "

"Maybe you never open your heart to anyone that's why "

There's a silence coz it's true she realizes and looks down. 

"I'm sorry I didn't. ..."

"No. You are right "

"But why don't you open..."

"Let's not talk about this please "she pleads 

he just nods with a smile. 

"It was great talking to someone after so long "she smiles 

" Me too "

And they stayed like this enjoying the beautiful sight , the cool breeze and each other's company for the rest of the Time.
