26. What happened?

💕 Chanyeol'S POV 💕

It's been a month already.

I still can't believe whatever is going on.

Was it really my fault that I fell in love with her?

What should I do?

I don't think I can move on so easily , as my friends want me to.

Yes I'm crazily in love with her.

I don't care what others think about her.

I just want her to be happy.

It's OK if she... doesn't love me back.

I sighed for the nth time now.

She didn't come to the college as usual.

Since that incident, she came to college only few times , that too all bruised up.

I didn't get it how did she end up that way.

Maybe I should try to find out.

But how?

The bell rang and everyone scattered.

I looked towards the empty seat.

I miss her really bad.

Then I saw Yumi with her saddest face.

She misses her bestie everyone knows.

Even Baek can't change her mood.

She's gloomy all the time.

I sighed again.

Then it hit me.

Yes !

Yumi !

She's the only one who can help me solve this problem.

When I first encountered Ji Eun, the first thing that came to my mind was "Why did she become like this? " .

So now is the time I should find out.

Today I didn't go to lunch so let's talk to her.

I see her leaving the class , so hurriedly I catch up to her.

"Yumi ! Hi "

"Yeah hi ! " she replied with a sad smile.

"Can we talk? If you have time? Maybe we can have lunch together? "

"Yeah sure I was on my way to canteen anyways let's go together " she said about to turn but I stop her.

"No ! not canteen some lonely place, like Terrace . I'll bring our food there , if you don't mind " I said trying not to offend her.

She stood still for a moment maybe thinking why I was asking such thing but she spoke.

"OK let me text Baek first "she said taking out her phone.

I must say Baek is really lucky to get such a sweet girl. I'm so happy for him.

"OK then I'll be waiting for you at Terrace. I too need to get away for a while" she said with a sad smile and after I nodded she left.

I took our lunch to the terrace I saw her looking at the sky sadly smiling reminiscing something.

"Here" I passed her the lunch.

"Thanks " She nodded while taking it .

Before I could start she spoke.

"You know , Ji Eun always used to come here whenever she wanted to be alone. Now I know, how peaceful it is here "she said closing her eyes.

And then I remembered the time when I saw her here after college crying lonely.

"So what's it? "she asked munching her lunch.

"It's... Actually... The.. " I was stuttering badly unable to form words.

"Uhm? "

"It's about Ji Eun! "I said quickly.

Firstly she frowned then smiled.

"I knew "

"What ? How? "

"Do you think I didn't noticed the way you looked at her, how you cared for her and stealth glances at her. I knew it way before, when you just transferred here maybe it was love at first sight "

"......" my eyes grew bigger I couldn't say anything I was blushing.

Was I too obvious ? I thought.

"So what do you want to know? "

I waited for a minute then took deep breath and spoke.

"Her past " I finally said.

"....." this time her eyes grew wider.

There was a silence for a while, she was playing with her food maybe thinking whether to tell me or not.

"It's okay if you don't.... " I said looking down.

"No I'll tell " she said pursing her lips.
