19.Coincidence or Fate??

IU opens her eyes and tries to focus her vision.

It's same as always, the throbbing headache, dried throat.

She sees everything white around her realising it's a hospital.

Then memories rush to her.

"I was in the park then how am I here? " she thinks.

"Ahhhh! "she groans in pain while rubbing her temples .

She tries to sit up when someone rushes to help her out.

"you okay? "he asks.

She looks up and her eyes grow wider.

"Chan.. Yeol ? " she's shocked to see
him.

"Yes me .You are weak still. Rest more "he helps her.

"How am I here? I was..."she was cut off.

"Firstly let's inform the doctor OK we'll talk later. Mhm? "

She just nods.

He calls the doctor and he checks her.

While Chanyeol is standing near with the worried look.

"Uhmm you're better now. Just don't stress out yourself too much OK. It's bad for someone as young as you to stress out you know? "he explains.

"Stress? What stress? " Chan thinks.

"Here are some prescriptions take these meds OK? You'll be alright. " with that the doctor leaves and Chanyeol bows and thanks him.

There's an awkward silence for a moment .

Chanyeol was about to say something but Ji Eun jumped in.

"So? Now tell me why and how am I here? And how did you bring me here? " she asks

"woah woah relax a bit. I'll tell you"

He breathes in then continues.

"So I was out for a walk since I love rain so much. My house is bit near from the park . But suddenly it started raining heavily so I ran to find a shed or something when I saw you sitting there. When I approached and thought to ask why you were there you suddenly passed out and I bought you here" he sighs.

She just hums and is a bit embarrassed.

Silence again.

"Do you think it's coincidence or fate that everytime you end up fainting we meet? "he tries to lift up the mood.

He searches for Answer instead she giggles.

He sighs.

"A coincidence I guess "she answers.

"Maybe the other one? "he blurts out loudly unknowingly.

"....."

Silence again.

"It stopped raining "he exclaims while looking out .

She follows his eyes then suddenly remembers about her mom.

She gets down from the bed and was about to go he helds her by her arm.

"Where are you going? "

"Home. My mom will be worried if she finds out and your family too So you should leave too. "she tells him with a worried look .

"I'll drop you and please don't deny I'm not gonna listen anyways "

She just nods.

And they leave for home.

They're walking silently beside each other while Chanyeol swinging his closed umbrella .

He then notices her shivering a lil because her clothes are wet and cold breeze is blowing continuously.

He removes his jacket and places it on her shoulders which made her flinch due to sudden action.

"I don't need it I'm not cold... " *accchhooo* she was cut by her own sneeze.

"Bless you! See you caught a cold please let it be I'm not even wet. You need it. "

"But... "

"Please.... I insist ....as a friend "he genuinely says

Looking those beautiful , caring eyes of his , she gets lost in them and her legs become weak and was about to fall he holds her back .

Being so near to each other tbh in each others embrace makes both of their hearts beat rapidly.

They stay like that for a while.

"Why are you so sweet? Don't do this to me ! Please. I don't wanna fall again. I can't handle this anymore..... " she thinks almost about to tear up.

"You OK? "he asks her still in his embrace .

"Yes " she immediately stands straight.

"You sure? I Mean if you can't walk let's... "

"I'm fine. Forreal "she assures him.

They start walking again .

Silence filled again but not the empty one as before but a genuine one.

"Why're you stressed out? Why can't you share your problems with me or anyone else? Why can't you just... Open your heart?  You're driving me insane!!! " he thinks

"Thank you "she says with a smile but eyes still on the way.

"No worries "he smiles back facing her but she's not looking.

"I never thought there would be someone like you to exist "she continues

"Mhm? What do you mean? Good or bad? "he asks joking.

She giggles a bit.

"Obviously the good side "

"Thank God I'm certified now " he pats himself.

She laughs now and her eyes form into crescents.

He smiles staring at her.

"Beautiful "he says out.

"Hmm? "she's shocked.

"I mean... U look.. Good when u laugh "he rubs his nape sheepishly.

"Gawwddd! Why the hell can't my mouth shut fgs !!! and why the hell am I stuttering?? " he mentally groans.

She blushes madly. This feels new to her.

She can't help but feel it.

"This can't be.. ..no! Am I really falling? "she thinks.
