It was 7am. Patton was awake, surprisingly early. He wouldn't normally be awake around this time. He was just sat at the edge of his bed, fiddling with his sleeves before closing his eyes.

That was until he heard a hiss. A familiar, devilish hiss against his ear. He shuddered lightly before reopening his eyes, his breathing heightened as he took a moment to reestablish his whereabouts. He grabbed his glasses from the table beside his bed, placing them on before brushing a hand through his hair. He decided to make breakfast, for the others too as he stood up, leaving his room and beginning to set it all up. Would the others had wanted pancakes again?

"Good morning, Patton." It was Logan. He was awake early, which was odd. However, his voice had made Patton flinch in complete shock, turning around before inhaling. "Apologies. Didn't mean to startle you." He added with a sorrowful expression.

"It's okay. Sorry." Patton gave a small smile before turning back around to continue making the pancakes. "Are the others awake?"

"I believe not. Virgil won't be awake yet, and as for Roman - I'm unsure." Logic explained before sitting down at the table. "Could you get me a glass of apple juice, please?"

Patton nodded as he grabbed two glasses, placing it on the counter before walking to the fridge. He wanted some juice too. He proceeded to pour the liquid into both glasses before taking them both to the table, placing one in front of Logan and sitting down to wait for the pancakes. "How are you faring today?" The logical side asked, adjusting his glasses.

Patton tensed up at the question. It never was an easy question to answer, but he knew that it may have been the only way for the others to loosen any pressure or fear that he wasn't alright. "Better. I'm a little jumpy, but I'll be fine." He assured him, giving a genuine smile. One that hadn't been seen for a while.

"That's splendid. You do look better, and you look more refreshed. I hope the sleep did you some good?"

Patton nodded before standing up to walk over to the pancakes, placing multiple on each plate before watching Roman and Virgil enter the kitchen.

"Good timing!" Patton cheered out, holding one plate up with pancakes. "I hope you're all hungry." He added with a smile, raining small bits of sugar on each pancake before placing them all on the table.

Roman gave a smile. "Glad to have you back, Patton." He nodded and Virgil gave a half-smile. "Thanks for the pancakes, Dad. I'm gonna grab a coffee." He then stood up to go towards the kitchen to make himself a coffee.

Patton began to close in onto his own thoughts. He enjoyed this. This family time. FamILY. Spending time with the people he loved and cared about. Nothing to worry about, nothing else to focus on. Virgil joined back at the table with his coffee, sitting down and glancing towards Patton with a small smile.

"So!" Roman called out, breaking the utter silence. Patton flinched slightly at the yelling. It was true, he was extremely jumpy today. "What do we have to work on today? Is there anything planned?"

"I believe Thomas will be making a video." Logan joined in, looking at his planner. "Oh- My mistake. It seems that there is nothing scheduled for today." He rephrased, placing his planner away.

"Great," Virgil replied, giving a smug shrug. "Then I'm not going to be overworked." He mentioned before finishing off his pancakes. "Thanks for the pancakes, Dad. Now, if you don't mind - I'll be in my room if you need me. Later." He saluted his fellow companions before standing up with his coffee and walking to his room. Patton watched him leave before returning back to the others.

Logan questioned the worrisome expression on Patton's face, before deciding to talk it out. "Patton. Virgil is okay." He explained. Morality just looked over with a nod. "I know. I just.. I really enjoy this. Spending time with you all. It just feels weird without Virgil here."
