"Very well done, Patton. Very well done, indeed.
You did exactly as I asked."

Patton flinched at the voice. It wasn't in his head. It wasn't in his head. He took in a heavy breath as his head lifted up, looking towards the shadowy part of his room.

"Just.. Just come on out.." He mumbled. An echoed laugh filled the room as the voice revealed itself. Black and yellow clothing with a black cape, yellow gloved hands with a black bowler hat. The two faced. The snake face. The liar.

Deceit.

"Such pure bred anger, Patton. I knew you could do it." Deceit hissed with a cunning smile, walking up and down his bedroom. Patton clenched his jaw. What was Deceit doing here? Was he the voice spinning around his head? He couldn't focus. He couldn't concentrate right now.

"Why do you keep bothering me? Why are you in my head?" Patton whined, looking up at the malicious snake, who's hands were steepled together with a smug smirk.

"Why, I'm glad you asked." Deceit called out before smiling. "You see, Patton. They don't listen to you, do they? They choose to ignore you. Ignore your thoughts, ignore your ideas, ignore your very existence. Do they not? You're not feeling your greatest. You believe they're trying to help you. But what are they doing, really? Well. They're just trying to make sure you don't affect Thomas."

His words were like poison, slipping off his tongue with ease. He was lying. He was a liar. He's just lying to you. Stand up and walk away. Find help.

"Stop it.." He whimpered out, his hands running to his head to run through his hair.

Deceit just chuckled. He knew he was getting under his skin, and quite frankly - he enjoyed every second of it. "Think of it this way. They don't care about you. I could always help you."

He's lying.

Patton shook his head, refusing to believe his words. "No.. You're a liar. You can't help me.."

"Yes. I am a liar," Deceit hissed. "I am a liar. The master of deception. Yes, yes. We've heard it before. But I don't always speak in lies, Patton. I can help you. I can make you feel alive."

But do I need you to survive?
No. I don't.

"I said stop it-" Patton yelled out, his hands pulling gently at his hair. He wanted so badly to get the others to take it all away. To take his pain, to take his voices - Just to make them all disappear. Deceit just stood there, watching as the Dad character cowered to himself, feeling so small in a giant world.

"I'm always with you," He simply stated, kneeling down to look at him, before a gloved hand tapped the top of Patton's head. "I'm always there, guiding you. You don't want to take my advice physically, fine. But mentally? It's going to hurt. It will hurt so bad, that you'll seek no other choice. You've deceived yourself so much in the past few days. Lying to Roman. To Virgil. To.. Logan."

Patton winced at the names being called one by one. "I-I don't mean to.." He whimpered, receiving a hum in response. "But, of course not Patton." The snake replied, before standing up.

"P-Please just go.."

Deceit just nodded. As much as it enjoyed him to watch him sink down so low, he could practically hear the footsteps of the others running towards the door. If he was caught, they would of told Thomas. They would've got him. That wasn't allowed of course. "Take my words as a continued offer. You want my help? Just think it. I shall be of service. Until next time, Morality."
