Sunrise settled in on the next day. Patton managed to sleep the entire night, with Logan asleep by his side on a chair - a book resting on his chest. Virgil stayed with Thomas the entire night, and Roman had fell asleep at the door outside Patton's room.

Last night. Was exhausting. It was overly dramatic and terrifying for the poor Morality. He had hoped Deceit wouldn't of showed up. Yet he did. The others would've found out soon, right? They would've found out. Of course they would.

6:30am. The current time. Of course, Patton was awake. Sleep got harder for him now. All of these secretive feelings he kept away - it was becoming a burden to him. That wasn't going to distract him, though. Of course it wasn't. He still had many emotions of happiness to spread out towards his host.

And that was his next requirement.

He stood up, standing in one of the corners of the four walls in his bedroom. He knelt down, leaning his back against the wall before getting lost in his thoughts.

Happy thoughts. Happy thoughts.

Many things appeared in his mind. Spending time with his famILY. With Logan. With Virgil. With Roman.

"But they never cared about how you truly feel."

Of course. Of course Deceit had to get into his head. To ruin his train of thought. Patton forced himself not to scream. Not to cry. A new day. A completely new day.

Virgil soon came back from babysitting Thomas that night, walking into Patton's room to see him in the corner - with every urge and every motion to stop himself from practically sobbing on the spot.

The anxious side felt his own heart clench up with looking towards him. He wasn't the normal 'happy pappy Patton' he claimed to be. No, this wasn't him. It was somebody who kept all his emotions bottled up, and locked the jar away. And now he had only found the key - the key of freedom. To allow himself to feel sad. With his own instincts, he walked over to Patton's side and kneeling down.

"Hey, Dad.." He spoke gentle, watching Patton's head lift up to look at the other with a half-smile. Forced on, of course. Of course he forced the smile on. The Moral side dropped his head back down, just going back to try continue of train of happy thoughts.

Just happy thoughts. That was all he needed. Just something. Something to help Thomas, at least.

Anything..?

"So.." Virgil spoke up, breaking the thoughts once again. "Thomas is fine. He wasn't fully affected by your sadness last night." What a relief. At least his emotions weren't affecting him as much as he believed. "However, when I woke up this morning. He was awake. So I guessed you were, too. He was already on the laptop, listening to music to try relax himself."

Patton just nodded. "I've tried to give him some happy thoughts this morning.. To.. um.. clear his head, I guess." He explained, shrugging lightly.

"How's that going for you?" Virgil asked.

"I don't know." Patton shrugged, looking over towards his son. "I keep getting distracted.."

"By what?"

Shoot. Patton went too far into detail. How was he supposed to get himself out of this one? He cleared his throat to cover up the awkward silence that rose up in the atmosphere. "Things that I shouldn't think about.. All these sad emotions. They keep coming back on me- I'm trying to avoid them to think happier, but it's difficult."

Virgil understood that. Pushing away his own thoughts to help Thomas remain aware of things to be anxious about. Sometimes he found the struggle to focus on that one thing. "Yeah- I get you. It's gonna be difficult, but it'll get easier the more you do it." He explained, wrapping an arm around Patton's shoulder.

"Remember. You're not alone." He added, Patton looking up to him with a delicate smile. A smile which showed the appreciation. Did he know that? Yes. Yes he did.

"Do you?"

Bad timing. Patton had winced at the voice in his head, causing Virgil to take steady precautions. "You alright?" Patton just nodded. "Another.. uh.. sad thought. Sorry, kiddo. I'm fine." He reassured Virgil, only to receive a nod.

"Oooh. Another lie. To your own 'son.' Ouch, that's a stinger. And a blackmail definitely being used later on."

Shut up.

Patton was clutching his head now, and Virgil got more cautious. "Dad?"

"Go on. Tell him the truth, Morality."
"Tell him how you truly feel."

Virgil felt himself feeling more nervous then normal, clutching onto the other with fright on his face. Patton was acting different - he was freaking out, clawing at his head. Trying to scratch out the voices. Trying to scratch out the lies that sprouted in his mind.

He didn't want to upset Virgil. He didn't want to scare him anymore then he was. He could technically feel Virgil's nervous aura pouring off of him while the two sat there. Patton felt sick - he felt sick having to repeatedly listen to these filthy lies that spun in his head. He could be open to Virgil, prove to Deceit that morals were real. He was Morality, after all. The embodiment of rights and wrongs.

And then it came out:

"Virgil, I'm sorry..!" Patton bursted out, his voice full of guilt and full of fear. He hadn't noticed Logan had become startled awake from that, as well as Roman who hit his head on the door while jolting up.

"Holy Disney-" The Prince shrieked in complete shock. He hadn't expected Patton to yell out so loudly.

"Sorry! Did I shout too loud?" Patton chirped up before covering his face.

"Hey.. Could you two head on out? So I could talk to Patton alone for a little?" Virgil asked, and the others nodded frantically.

"Of course. Take as much time as granted. And Patton, if you wish to speak to us about anything as well as Virgil. We are here to advise. To listen to you." Logan told him before escorting both himself and Roman out.

"So.. Do you wanna talk?" Virgil asked and Patton nodded.

"It's kind of a long story.."

"I have all day," Anxiety replied with a shrug.

"You probably won't like it either," Patton added.

Virgil just shrugged.

"Try me..."

He had no idea what he was about to listen to..
