Third Person POV

Since Garmadon had been reformed, Misako had been dying to ask him some questions. About his transformation to the Overlord, about the Final Battle, everything during that time!

But because Ninjago is the Land of Unending Complications, having a private conversation with her husband was going to be proven difficult.

The sun rose rather early, its beams blanketing the hills around the monastery. Misako slowly sat up to see an empty side of the bed where Garmadon usually occupies.

"'Sunrise Exercise,'" She thought aloud as she stretched out her limbs.

She clambered out of bed, quickly getting dressed and ready for the day.

After whipping the door open, she heard something hit the ground. Peeking around the door, she was now gazing down on her son, covered in small pieces of candy that he appeared to be smuggling out of his room.

His eyes locked with her stern ones, therefore sending a bead of sweat down his forehead. He scrambled to stand up, collecting the candies and hiding them behind his back.

"Lloyd, what have we told you about being late for 'Sunrise Exercise?'" Misako inquired as she crossed her arms with a raised brow.

"Oh..! I was just on my way there!" He nervously grinned as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.

"Before you go, have you seen your father anywhere?"

"No, not really. I think he's in the garden. Do you want me to check?"

"No, no, you go to 'Sunrise Exercise.' You're already late. I'll go find him."

Lloyd hummed an "Okay," before sprinting down the hall, leaving a trail of Lifesavers and Jolly Ranchers that were spilling out of his pockets.

Misako smiled at her son's childish antics and turned to go to the garden.

Sure enough, Garmadon was there, meditating on a bench with his eyes closed.

Her excitement was boundless as she quietly approached. She bit her lip, trying not to explode with chatter. But her happiness burst like a water balloon as she saw Dareth approach him.

"Wh-?! Where'd he come from?!" She thought, exasperated as she hid behind a tree.

But, much to Misako's delight, Dareth talked really fast and left almost faster.

She finally sat down beside her husband, greeting him by holding his hand. A warm smile grew on his face, his fingers intertwined with hers'.

"Don't freak out, don't freak him out, just be calm, and ask him one question." The voice in her head seemed to yell out. But what question could she ask? She had over a hundred!

Her hand began to feel sweaty and clammy. She took a deep breath and said, "Could I ask you something?"

Her sudden break of silence was enough to make Garmadon jump in his seat. He chuckled softly, saying, "What is it?"

"Uh....I..-"

She was interrupted by a loud noise coming from the building where Sunrise Exercise takes place. The two shared a concerned look before running to see what had happened.

The doors swung open, revealing the source of the noise; Jay and Cole were tangled up in each other's limbs as their fellow ninja observed. (Not in the way you think, though, ya nasty.~)

Jay and Cole whipped their heads around to face the pair, then glared at each other and yelled in unison, "He started it!!"

Garmadon groaned and rubbed his forehead. Misako shared the same disgusted expression. Yet another interruption!

"We'll talk later, I'll be right back," He whispered to her as he made his way to go untangle the two. She tried to muster up a glad expression, but all that showed up on her face was a crown as she nodded.

Turning to leave, she couldn't help but clench her fist in frustration. Ah, well. Maybe later.

The sun was now setting, the stars and moon becoming increasingly visible by the minute.

It was dinner time and the halls of the monastery were spilling with wonderful aromas and cheerful conversations amongst the ninja.

Jay and Cole were still bickering with each other about the "incident" that happened while they were doing Sunrise Exercise.

Misako picked at her food as the chattering commenced. Garmadon sat across from her, noticing something was wrong. Finally, she stood up and quietly left. He wiped his face with a napkin, stood up, and followed her.

He came to the door of their bedroom, cracking the door open slightly to take a peek inside. Misako sat on the bed, head hanging low. He entered the room, shuffling his feet to sit down beside her.

After gently placing a hand under her chin, making her look up, he said in a quiet voice, "Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe you had something you wanted to ask me."

A small smile formed on her lips.

"I have so much I want to ask you."
