Third Person POV
It was all a freak accident how it happened. A car accident, to be precise.
You were on the way to a doctor's appointment. You had a lot preying on your mind about it, but you didn't think you were consumed, or much less distracted, by it. Suddenly, the loud bellowing of a horn caught your attention all but too late.
Then, it was all a blur.
You saw glass shattering, sending small fractals of it flying at you; You saw the blinding headlights of the car that collided with yours; You could feel your seatbelt digging into your body through your clothes.
Finally, your car landed on its side, sending you crashing to the ground with it. As you laid against the window, nearly unconscious, you heard blaring sirens through the ringing in your ears. After the passenger's side door was pried open, you felt your head loll to the side as you blacked out.
~~~~
You woke up in a cold hospital room with blinding white walls; The lights in the room weren't helping, either. The room smelt intoxicatingly clean, like someone lit a can of disinfectant spray on fire.
Squinting your eyes, you could see what you assumed was a nurse talking to a group of people outside. The group seemed upset, to say the least. You couldn't make out what they were saying, but with the panicky tones dripping from their voices, you didn't have to.
You rolled your neck, craning your head to the side to see the source of the long tube attached to your arm. You carefully glided your finger across the tape that held it to your arm, immediately wincing and pulling your hand back from it.
Suddenly, you heard footsteps approaching, gathering your attention to see who it was.
"Ah, you're awake, Y/N," The man smiled softly. Oh. It was your friend Lloyd's dad, Garmadon. You stayed silent as he took a seat on the bed beside you.
He was always nice to you when you hung out with Lloyd. Whether you needed advice or just someone to talk to, he was there for you. But today, you could sense a bit of a change in him; he didn't seem as calm and collected as he usually was.
He cleared his throat as he began to speak. "So, are you feeling alright?"
That's an odd question to ask to someone who just lived through a car accident. You decided against coming up with a snarky reply, although it was a dumb query. "Uh....considering the circumstances, yeah, I'm alright," You replied quietly, folding your hands together.
He murmured a "Good, good," but continued looking at you like something was still wrong. Your stomach began to churn as you decided to ask, "Is something wrong?"
He pursed his lips slightly, formulating a reply behind them. He inhaled, let out a sharp puff of air, and looked you square in the eye. "When were you going to tell us?"
Your heart felt like it was going to thump out of your chest. He knew? Maybe if you'd play dumb, he'd leave the subject alone. "Tell you what..?" You innocently asked.
He reached behind his back, pulling a small stack of documents into your view. You grimaced as you immediately recognized them; they were in a folder in your car. You had to take them to the doctor for your....appointment. He pointed to the line where you signed consent for surgery.
"I have secrets of my own, Y/N. Some that I wouldn't dream of telling to anyone," Garmadon hissed. His voice was quaking as he put the papers down. He looked at you like before, but his eyes shimmered with tears. "Why would you hide this from us?"
Before you knew it, you had tears pricking your eyes. You couldn't help but feel ashamed for hiding such a serious matter. Your bottom lip trembled as you whimpered, "I-I don't know! I just didn't....." A sob choked out as you tried your best to explain.
He slid closer to you, engulfing your shuddering body in a tight, but careful, hug. You gladly accepted it, clinging to his silky robes. "I didn't want to...I didn't want to be a-a burden to you guys. I'm so sorry..I promise I'll never do it again, I promise..!" You hiccuped into his shoulder. His fingers carded through your hair as he shushed you.
"It's okay, just calm down, alright? I was just worried about you," He whispered as he rubbed your back soothingly.
The clearing of a throat got both of your attentions to see the doctor standing in the doorway. "May I speak to the patient alone for a moment?"
~~~~
Soon after your little discussion with your doctor, he left the room and allowed Garmadon back in the room with you.
"Well, how did that go?" He hummed.
"It went pretty good, I think! He said that I could get the surgery done next week, maybe earlier if I heal faster."
"Sounds good!" He warmly smiled at you. "Are you going to keep it a secret from everyone again?"
"No!" You giggled. "I promise."
"Good. Then, in that case, I'm sure that Lloyd has a few questions for you." He then gestured to the open door where Lloyd could be seen sitting in the waiting area with his friends. "Would you like me to go get him?"
"Yes, please."

(Hello, guys! Here we go, I have a headache and only three more requests from the last batch to whip through before I put out my special request terms! (Also, I can't title. I suck at making titles lol)
So, I have like five or more requests in the chamber for the new wave of requests, and I haven't even opened them yet! I implore you guys yet again; please hold onto your requests until I open them again! I don't write this stuff for it to be ignored, and it annoys me greatly when I have them all piling up. I'm glad that you guys are giving ideas out already, but I can only do so many in such time. Sure, I graduated high school this year and don't have a job, but I have a life outside of writing fanfics. Just please give me time before requesting things in the future!
I'm not sure if the tagging system is working or not, but if you didn't get a notification from being tagged in a chapter you requested, I'm sorry. I don't really know how to fix it. And like always, if there are any typos/weird jazz in the chapter, let me know so I can take the eraser to it!
Also, I made a new cover for the book! I may go through a few changes of the cover due to my stupid mind changing, so don't be surprised if it can't keep a simple consistency to save its stinking life.
Anyways, I'll be trying to finish up the final few requests in the next week. If not, be patient, I'm trying my best. Thanks for reading! Have a nice day and stay safe!)
