Tanizaki - Surprise

"You didn't have to hide it from me you know?"

"LET'S GET THIS PARY STARTED!" Yosano shouted as she raised her plastic cup full of sake, expecting the others to join her toast

But instead of toasting this just resulted with the others looking nervously on her drunk outbreak

It was the agency's victory party after defeating the guild, they all agreed to stay and celebrate at the office after the ball since they all wanted something that can make them feel at home after that very formal celebration

Which lead's us now, with yosano being drunk and is now sitting on the table, waiting for their toast

"Yosano really is excited huh?" Tanizaki stated as he looked to the lady beside him

But as he looked he began to blush as he stared at her, observing her shiny (h/c) hair, which was a little messy after running around earlier

He then observed her face, full of joy, her eyes were shining out of joy that you coulds mistake her eyes as jewels if you look closely

And finally, her lips, with a widened smile, obviously happy with the events happening. I mean, who wouldn't? after all the war between the agency, mafia and the guild was finally over.

"Huh? Oh um yeah" the girl replied as she looked at tanizaki with a smile

As much as he don't want to admit it, Tanizaki wasn't satisfied with that answer

He wanted a more satsfying answer, something that can comfort the beating heart inside of him that is currently killing him

"U-um (y/n)?" tanizaki nervously asked

"Yeah?" the girl asked, tilting her head

"I-is there something wrong?" he asked

"Huh? Why do you ask?" the girl said

Tanizaki was feeling nervous, how can he say this to his long time crush?

"Because it's like—how do I say this? You look distracted" he said while fiddling his fingers

The girl didn't respond, instead it seems that she looked surprise and stared at tanizaki with a surprised face

With her eyes widened and looking at him, tanizaki was feeling nervous

Did I do something wrong?

Did I make her mad?

Oh no what should I do?

But that wasn't it, instead after staring at him, her eyes softened, with the shine in her eyes getting brighter

The same goes with her face, it all looked like as if she was relieved and relaxed

Then she spoke

"Nothing's wrong really"

"Huh?" he asked, obviously confused

"It's just, i'm happy, like really really happy" she paused for a while then moved her gazed towards the group of people in front of them, enjoying themselves

"We won the war, and we avoided losing as many lives as much as possible. We still got to see the smiles of our comrades even after that very hard battle."

She then returned her gaze to him

"and most of all-"

"most of all?" tanizaki asked

She smiled at him gently with eyes closed

"I still get to be with everyone, with you"

This made tanizaki's whole body freeze. His heart was beating too much
