chapter nine

Double Update since the last one was a filler chapter.

Regina's POV

"I love you." I whisper before kissing his head. I close the door and Emma is sitting on the couch.

"Hey." She smiles.

"Hi." I say and she pulls me down by my hand. I sit next to her and she smiles.

"Can I kiss your head?" I blush and nod so she kisses my head.

"Today was perfect."

"Really?"

"Yeah. It's been everything to me. You and Henry. You both mean a lot to me." I feel tears in my eyes and I nod.

"You're just as important in our lives."

"Another movie or do you want to talk?"

"We can do both." I nod.

"Mommy! Mommy!" I groan and I see Henry. Why am I in the living room.

"Regina?" I look and see Emma. I'm
laying on her chest. Oh!

"What time is it?" I ask and I look at the clock.

"Crap! It's 9!"

"Shit. I mean crap." Emma says and we both jump up. I shower quickly and get Henry and I dressed. Emma is ready and I cook a quick breakfast. Eggs and sausages.

"Alright eat while I finish getting ready." I do my makeup and my hair. Make my bed. Shoes. Turn the lights off then get my purse. Emma and Henry are done eating. I clean the dishes and then we head out.

"I'm dropping you off and then I'll be back for lunch with you okay?"

"Okay, bye." Henry gives her a kiss through the open car window. I kiss her cheek too.

"Bye." She says.

"Bye Emmy!" I rush inside to the back.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't even realize the time. I'm sorry Granny I'll stay late for any night you need me."

"How was your date?" Granny asks.

"What?" I ask shocked.0

"Ruby told me your first date with Emma was yesterday. How did it go?"

"Granny!" I say.

"Blame Ruby."

"I am!"

"Just tell us." I blush.

"It was great. Perfect. I made dinner and we watched a movie together and then I had to put Henry to bed. Emma and I fell asleep on the couch after talking all night. I'm sorry. Henry woke us up this morning at 9. I totally forgot I had work."

"It's okay Regina."

"You sure?"

"Your smile is so worth it. And it's not too busy today so you're fine." I smile.

"I'll get right to work." I give Henry my phone and to watch Netflix. I kiss his head and put the headphones in his ear.

"Come look." Ruby says after I am done cleaning someone's table and I walk into the back with her. Henry is sitting on facetime with Emma. I smile.

"Henry?"

"Mommy!"

"What are you doing baby?"

"Emmy." He says and points to the screen.

"He called you?" I ask taking the headphones out his ears and unplugging it from the port.

"Wow you look gorgeous!" I blush because Ruby and Granny are looking and definitely smiling at how I'm turning pink.

"He's not bothering you is he?"

"Don't worry beautiful I'm only doing some paperwork so it's fine."

"But he's distracting you."

"No no it's really fine. I mean it."

"Okay."

"And if anyone is distracting me it's you. You're stunning face, I can't even focus on work. I just want to sit here and stare at you. Study every part of your face until I'm memories every beautiful mark, every scar."

"Emma...." I say softly and she laugh.

"I'll see you soon." She says smiling.

"Yeah 30 minutes."

"Too long. I miss having you in my arms already."

"Emma." I say again, my lips poking out.

"I know, I'm adorable."

"You ruined it." I say and she laughs. She is beautiful.

"Mommy I talk to Emmy." He whines and I hand him back the phone.

"Emmy!"

"Hey kid."

"She's so good with him." Ruby says.

"I know."

"Alright so Hulk or Catwoman?" Emma asks and writes stuff down.

"I don't know." Henry says.

"I would choose both. They are pretty cool."

"I know!" I smile.

"I see you smiling and you look so damn beautiful. It's just crazy how beautiful you are, without trying." I blush.

"Do your work Miss Swan."

"You're definitely more important."

"Emma." I whine.

"Emma. We gotta call." Someone says to her but I can't see them.

"What?"

"There was a robbery. He ran. And he has a gun."

"Gun?" Henry asks.

"Alright." She stands and puts on a bullet proof vest which scares me so much.

"Henry, hand the phone to mommy please." He gives it to me and I look at her worried. She grabs her gun and runs outside.

"I might be late for our lunch date don't tell the kid."

"It's okay."

"Alright I gotta go." She gets into the car and looks at me.

"Emma."

"I know. I'm fine."

"He has a gun." I whisper.

"So do I and I have a vest on."

"Not on your arms or legs. Or your head for goodness sake!"

"Regina I'll be okay."

"You better be."

"Is that your loving way of telling me to stay safe?"

"Please be careful."

"I have to."

"Why?"

"Cause I need see you and Henry. Duh." I smile.

"Em-"

"I will. I promise. I'll be there after." I nod and she hangs up. I sigh and hand Henry my phone.

"Don't worry."

"How can I not? I care. I don't want to see her hurt."

"She's trained for this."

"But I'm not." I sigh and walk out to continue working.
