Emma's POV

I wake up and Regina isn't in my arms, I frown. I kiss Henry's head and slowly move out the bed. I see her cooking in the kitchen.

"Hey." I say and she looks over at me.

"Hi."

"You okay?" I ask and she nods.

"I uh took off the week. And Granny said to tell you that you are taking a full week off."

"I can't take a week off Emma."

"I've got you, don't worry about that. How much do you need?" I ask.

"No, I'm not letting you do that."

"Regina let me be your girlfriend please. Let me take care of you."

"Emma-"

"Please. How much are you short?"

"Rent is due on the first. I only have one thousand of it."

"How much is left?"

"Emma I really don't want you to do this."

"How much is it? Please Gina."

"300 dollars."

"Here." I grab my wallet from off the coffee table and hand her five hundred.

"Emma no it's too much."

"You need groceries as well."

"No I don't."

"Regina please." She looks at me and sighs.

"Thank you."

"You're my girlfriend. Did you really think I wouldn't help you? Plus I'm here all the time."

"You know I've never even been to your house." She says and I sit down on the couch. She sits next to me and I want to hold her.

"Can I?" She kisses my cheek and nods. I wrap my arm around her pulling her close.

"We have to change that then."

"I'm going to feel so broke going to your house. I bet."

"Oh hush, it's not that crazy."

"How many cars do you own?"

"Three."

"What?!"

"My bug I've had since I was 17. I stole it. Then a blue BMW and a white Camry. I also have a yellow and black Yamaha bike."

"Like a motor-cycle?"

"Yep."

"That's so dangerous Em."

"I like living on the edge."

"No! That's crazy."

"Yeah yeah. Maybe for your birthday I'll buy you a car."

"No."

"Yes. Why not? I get such great deals."

"I'm not letting you buy me a car."

"You really wouldn't let me get you one?" I ask and she looks at me.

"No, I feel like some gold digger or something. I don't want you buying your broke girlfriend a bunch of crap."

"Stop. You work hard for your money and you're doing the best you can in your situation. I understand Regina."

"Sometimes it doesn't feel like that. I feel like-I'm not doing enough."
