chapter twenty-four

Regina's POV

We are holding hands and walking in the park. It's been a month or two. We are happy. Henry is in love with Emma. Well daddy. I love that he ferris comfortable enough to call Emma daddy.

"Baby?"

"Yes?" I ask and we stop moving. She's holding Henry's hand.

"I love you." I smile and lean forward kissing her.

"I love you too."

"Mommy daddy has a question."

"She does?" I ask and he nods.

"What is it?" I ask tickling his tummy.

"Will you marry daddy?" I gasp in shock and look over at Emma tears fill my eyes and she's just smiling at me. There's no way she wants to marry me.

"Emma."

"Wait baby. We've been together over a year and this has been the best year of my life. I want many more to come with our little family. We're a family. My babies." I sniffle and she grabs my hand.

"I want to spend the rest of our lives together. I know the future isn't promised and we never know what might happen but, I want to go through all of it with you. I want to see Henry grow up into the man you and I will teach him to be. I want to have another child. Henry may not be mine biologically but he's my son because of the unconditional love I have for him. I know you're scared because you think no one wants to be with a single mother but it's not true, I want to be with you forever. And I love you. Will you marry me?" People are looking at us and I can't even hear anything. Emma down on one knee holding a silver box. I can't see because of the tears in my eyes. Henry is sitting on her knee. Smiling.

"Of course. Yes yes. I'll marry you." She smiles and slips the ring onto my finger. It's perfect. I hug her and Henry hugs us. I lean down and grab his face giving him a kiss and a hug. I kiss Emma and she wraps her arms around me. I hold her close.

"I'm so happy."

"Me too. I even asked granny and Ruby for their blessing a while ago."

"How long have you know that you wanted to marry me?" I ask and she smiles.

"Since the every beginning. I just knew. I thought I was crazy but I love you both of you." She gets down and kisses Henry.

"And this... is for you kid." She gets a small band out the ring box and I smile.

"I promise to tuck you in at night. And read to you. Give you endless hugs and kisses. Sneak you snacks when mommy says no. Cuddle when you're feeling sick. And I'm never leaving. I not going anywhere."

"I love you daddy!"

"I love you too Henry." She picks him up and wraps her arm around me. We go to Granny's and I run to the back.

"Why didn't you two tell me?!" I say and they look at me confused. I show them my hand and they both scream and hug me.

I smile and feel myself getting emotional. I start crying. Ruby hugs me tighter.

"What's wrong Regina?" She asks.

"I never thought someone would love me. I have a kid. People don't want that. She wants me and Henry. S-she wants both of us." I cover my face. Ruby let's go of me and now I'm in Emma's arms. I cry harder.

"I love you. I'm not going anywhere I love you so much."

"I love you." I whisper and she rubs my back soothingly.

"How can you love us?" I ask shaking my head. She laughs.

"Because you two are everything I ever wanted and everything I will ever need. Don't think like that baby, anyone would be lucky to be in your life." She kisses my head and I sniffle.
