The rest of the day I was just trying not to cry because of what Viktor had told me. I was slightly annoyed at him for not telling me about what was happening, but I understood he was probably just trying to protect me. Everything he did was to protect me.

I was more surprised that Lucas hadn't tried to contact me about it, and why he told my parents without even telling me first.

I decided to call Lucas to find out what was happening.

Lucas: Hello?

Hi, Lucas. It's me, Robyn.

Lucas: oh, hello Robyn! I haven't heard from you in a while, how-

Can you please tell me what's going on with my parents?

Lucas: What? What are you talking about?

You know exactly what I'm talking about.

Lucas: um... I'm afraid there's nothing I can do, Robyn. They're outraged at what you've done, and how irresponsible you've been. What were you thinking, getting yourself hammered at a house party?

Excuse me? I think you'll find that is NOT what happened. Who the heck even told you that? That's totally wrong. I didn't get myself 'hammered' at all! There's some sort of huge misunderstanding!

Lucas: Well, why don't you tell me what happened?

Firstly, it wasn't even a 'house party' at all, it was a small get-together with Viktor and 3 other players, at Robert's house! We had no intention of getting 'hammered'! Who even uses that word anyway?

Lucas: carry on!

Well, we were just playing some games. Innocent games! And Nicolai Boilesen decided it would be a good idea to take a shot every time you lost money at monopoly, which he would measure out. And I guess he measured out way too much for me, with nobody realising! He's apologised for that, and nothing happened! Viktor drove me straight back and looked after me. I swear, absolutely nothing happened!

Lucas: Well, that is quite different to what I was told, Robyn.

Well who the hell told you?!

Lucas: A friend of mine.

Lucas, don't be like that! Tell me who it was that told you!

Lucas: Okay. One of my clients was speaking to me the other day, and said his son had held a house party for some of his friends, and a friend of a friend. He said that a girl was there, and she got herself completely drunk.. and out of control.

Who the hell is your client?

Lucas: I'm not officially allowed to rev-

LUCAS! Tell me now or I swear I won't ever speak to you again!

Lucas: .... I'm sure you won't know him, but his name is Mr. Skov. He works a-

Now it all makes sense!

Lucas: Now what makes sense?

I know exactly who's at fault here, thank you Lucas!

Lucas: I-

I put the phone down in a rage and ran over to Viktor, who was listening keenly to my conversation from the living room.

"Viktor!" I shouted, "you need to speak to Robert! Right now!"
He looked rather confused. "Why? I already told you he must have said something stupid to the wrong person."
"That's not what I think. He deliberately told his Dad an absolute pack of lies about what happened, because he knew his dad works with Lucas. And he wants me gone!"
Viktor looked surprised.
"Wait, what? He told his dad?"
"Yeah, he told his dad a load of rubbish."
"But that makes no sense! Robert wouldn-" He paused for a second, as if he was withholding information from me.
"Viktor?" I asked, with a serious tone. "What's the matter?"
"I really shouldn't- I can't- I just can't say. I-" He stuttered.
"If you're hiding more information from me after all this, I don't know what kind of friends we are!"
He looked at me in the eyes, and said "okay, you're right. I can't hide anything from you, it's not fair." He then gestured for me to sit down next to him on the sofa. "A couple of days ago, Nicolai told me that Robert was acting... pretty strange. He was always on his phone, searching your name.."
I could tell he was growing more and more uncomfortable.
"Go on." I encouraged.
"And- He was always looking at your profiles. Didn't follow you, but he was always searching... and one day Nicolai saw he was looking at that school project of yours. And said it was really good.. that's how I found out about that. I'm sorry if it makes you feel uncomfortable, but I think he might have a crush on you."
I felt my cheeks blush at those words, but it quickly faded when I realised what had been going on.
"Viktor, I'm going to sound crazy, but I think Robert might have... tried to get us to separate? Because he's so jealous that we live together..."
I could visualise hypothetical cogs whirring inside Viktor's head putting two and two together. His expression changed from regret to white hot fury.
"That goddamn freak!" He leapt off the sofa, grabbing his coat and car keys. "He's tried to ruin our lives for his own stupid jealousy! I swear I'm going to sort him out!"
Before I could stop him, Viktor was out of the door, jogging down the stairs towards his car.
"Viktor!" I shouted after him. "Don't do anything stupid! It's not worth it!"

I knew I couldn't keep up with him, so I leaned out of the window to catch Viktor's attention as he went into his car.
"Promise me you won't do anything stupid! Promise me!"
He looked up to where I was leaning, and shouted back "Don't worry, you're not going anywhere!"
