After the meeting with Ståle was over, we said goodbye and Viktor took me to his favorite cafe so I could get a celebratory drink with him.

"Cheers to your new career!" He said, and held his glass up to mine.
"Yeah, cheers!" We touched our glasses together and took a drink. "Wow, this is really good champagne, Vik. Which one did you ask for?"
"Only the finest one on the menu for my analytical coach." Viktor answered, and pointed to the most expensive bottle on the menu. I felt like my eyes were going to pop out of my head after reading its price.
"Christ, Viktor! You didn't have to do that... oh my god, that's way too much money for a beverage!"
"Don't worry, with your new job, you'll be able to afford it in no time!" Viktor laughed, and poured himself another glass. "And, I wanted to make your day as special as possible, so it's no problem. I insist!"
"Well, if you insist..." I smiled, and poured myself some more. "You really are the best boyfriend ever!"
"Why, thank you. It makes me so happy to see you enjoying yourself on your birthday."
"It makes me so happy to see you out on the pitch playing football too, so are you definitely going to be playing this weekend?" I asked.
"Yeah, Ståle said that I'm in the team if I'm ready to play, which I am." He smiled, "I can't wait to get back out there myself."
"And I'll be there in the stand- oh, no I won't! I'll be down sitting on the bench next to Ståle and the other coaches... wow, this new job is going to take some getting used to!" I laughed.
"I think Ståle said that you can work the same hours as me if you want to, so when I'm training or in the gym, you can spend time meeting with the other coaches."
"That's perfect! But it does mean I have to get out of bed early..."
"That's why I'm here!" Viktor leaned in close, and smirked at me. "Nobody sleeps in on my watch!"
"Yeah, you're not kidding..."

Later that evening, it was time for me and Viktor to visit the best restaurant in the whole of Denmark, which just happened to be inside FCK's stadium. Viktor was dressed in his favourite tuxedo, and I was dressed in a little blue dress picked by Viktor himself. Yes, that was yet another birthday surprise from him...

We walked into the restaurant entrance, and were met with an amazing aroma of sweetness.
"Wow, it smells just like fresh candy floss in here!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, it's fantastic... how do they do that?!" Viktor said, taking deep breaths to savour the scent.

"Hello, welcome! You must be Robyn and Viktor, right?" A waiter came from behind the front desk.
"Yeah, that's us." Viktor answered and pointed to me. "The birthday girl is here!"
"Oh yes, of course! Happy birthday, Robyn! Viktor made sure that all of us staff were aware that it's your special day today, so we've reserved the best table in the house for you both!" The waiter replied enthusiastically, gesturing for us to follow him into the restaurant.

It was packed with people, and the only table empty was the one reserved for us, which was right up at the back wall next to a large window covered by a black cloth. Presumably, it kept the darkness of the room to a suitable standard.

Viktor told me not to look at the price of the food, and to order whatever I wanted. Of course, I ignored him and looked at the prices, which were the most ridiculous I'd ever seen. £50 for some fancy chicken and chips?? I just wasn't going to let Viktor waste his money on the most expensive dishes, so I picked something a little less extortionate, yet still uncomfortably pricey.
"You want... what? The chicken salad?!" Viktor looked at me, very confused.
"Yeah, I really fancy having it."
"Really? Are you sure? Cause I'm definitely having a steak."
"The steak? That's like over £100 for some meat... why are the prices so high?"
"It's Michelin star food, Robyn! It's gonna be expensive because it's worth it." Viktor laughed, "please just choose whatever you want. It's your birthday!"
"I really don't want to let you pay for this... why don't I just pay for my own meal..."
"Robyn! Once again, I insist!" Viktor then took my menu away from me, and called the waiter over to take our orders. "I'll have the finest steak on the menu please, and Robyn will have the same."
"I'm having a WHAT?!" I gasped, but it was too late. The waiter left pretty quickly. "Viktor, why did you do that?!"
"Because I love you, that's why! I know how much you love steak... and I'm trying so hard to make this day the most special ever."
"I love you too, and I'm so thankful for today, I really am. I just hope you know that you don't need to spend any crazy amount of money to make my birthday special, just sharing it with you is more than enough. Last year I could never have imagined any of this, so I want to thank you for everything. You're still my absolute hero." I smiled at him, and touched his champagne glass with mine. He smiled back, and I thought for a moment that he was going to tear up.

"You're my hero, too."
