"Really, you're being serious?" Viktor exclaimed, "there's more members of your family involved in this mess?!"
"Well, it's not like I knew about it!" I protested, "now I've got to go and speak to Lucas for the first time in ages..."
"Umm, sorry... am I missing something here?" Andreas interjected, with a confused expression.
"Yeah, we think that your 'Lukas' is the same as Robyn's!" Viktor replied, beginning to pace around the living room. "But now what do we do? I'm scared to approach this guy!"
"But I'm not," I added, "I'll go to his house and see if I can find anything. He won't suspect a thing!"
"Yeah!" Robert shouted out in agreement, and then stopped himself when he realised Viktor was staring him out.
"Don't celebrate like that! We would be putting Robyn in danger! Who knows what he would do to her if he caught her looking around..."
"It's okay, Viktor. I've got to at least try, or risk never going any further." I reassured him.
"Wait," Viktor whispered, "what if I go with you? I can distract him whilst you go and look around."
"That sounds even better!" Robert shouted out again in approval, which cued another reaction from Viktor.
"Will you just shut up!? Unless you've got something useful to say, just keep your damn mouth shut!"
After pulling Viktor away from Robert for the seventh time in five minutes, I suggested that it was a good time to leave Andreas' house. We thanked him for the information, and promised that we would keep him updated on the situation.
Viktor dropped Robert back off at his place, and brought me back to his. We had some food as normal, and began to discuss how we would get into Lucas' house.
"So, you're going to text Lucas and ask if you can meet him at his house tomorrow for a catch-up?" Viktor asked as he ate some noodles.
"Yeah, I've already texted him. Hopefully he'll answer me soon."
"Great. So now I think we need to be clear about our plan... after dinner I'll stall him in the kitchen or living room, and you're going to say you're going to the toilet?"
"Yeah, the toilet is upstairs next to his room. I was never allowed in there, and now I think I know why... he's probably got all sorts of information up there! I just need to grab something that looks interesting and get the hell out of there."
"Perfect... but what if he catches you? He sounds like quite a dangerous man."
"I'm just trying not to think about that right now," I said as I put down my box of noodles, "hopefully I'll have enough time to grab something and that's that."
"Fine, I have faith in you. And our amazing plan." He smirked, finishing the last of his food.
"It's a good thing that you're on a break from football right now... imagine having to go through all of this whilst thinking about a big game!"
"Yeah, I agree. It's the only time I've been happy to have a little injury..." he collected our plates and turned on the TV. "At least it means I get to spend more time together with you."
Viktor then moved closer to me on the sofa, and put his arm around me, inviting me to cuddle into him.
"And, we've got the place to ourselves for once." He whispered in my ear with a huge smile on his face.
"Viktor Fischer, I don't know what you mean by that." I replied, smiling back.
"I mean I'd like to get to know my girlfriend a bit better." He answered, kissing me on the top of my head.
"Same goes for me. I've got a few questions that need answering," I began, "like how you knew that you were.. y'know.. interested in both."
"I feel kinda weird talking about it with you, but I guess I've always felt that way. It's only recently that I decided to act upon how I felt. I never thought I could be with another guy, because I was a footballer. And I guess I still hate myself for it deep down.."
I sensed that this was still a raw subject.
"I felt exactly the same... I was surrounded by glamorous girls who encouraged me to be interested in exclusively boys my entire life. But I realised that just wasn't me, and I needed to explore. So... I got with a girl in my geography class and decided to build my own identity." I hugged his arm tightly. "So believe me when I say I understand what you've been through."
Viktor hugged me back.
"I'm so desperate for us to get out of this mess, so we can just be ourselves."
"Me too..."
