Viktor gave Grace a small sealed packet, and she began to freeze up.
"Oh my... oh my god... thank you so much!" She accepted the parcel and began to cry a little bit, so Viktor gave her a hug and suggested that we go inside. When we were in Grace's house, she opened the packet.
"Wow!" She exclaimed, "it's a shirt with your name on! And it's got your autograph... thank you so much! I'm so happy right now!"
"You're welcome, Grace." He answered, "thanks for letting us stay here for a little while."
"It's my pleasure!" She replied, showing us up to our room. "You don't mind sharing a room, do you? It's a double bed."
Viktor smirked at me.
"Oh no, that's perfect actually." He answered, putting our bags down. "Nice and cosy."
"Yeah, thank you Grace." I said, giving her a hug.
"Oh my god, we need to catch up!" She said whilst we were hugging, "I'm sure you've got loads of tea to spill... like why you're here for a start!"
"Of course," I answered, realising it was only fair that we told Grace what was going on as we were literally using her house as a part of the plan. "It's been too long since we've seen eachother."We gathered around the sofa in the living room, with a cup of coffee that Grace volunteered to make.
"So, my parents are out of town for a week. They don't know you're here, but it's fine!" Grace said, mischievously.
"Really? Are you sure that's okay?" I asked, shocked.
"Yeah, we don't want to intrude or anything." Viktor agreed.
"Oh no, it's perfectly okay. You'll be gone before they get back anyway. And how could I say no to you two?" She smiled, sipping her coffee. "So, what are you guys doing here?"
"Well, it's a bit of a secret. And a long story. But I guess you deserve to know about it!" I answered.
"A secret? Really? Spill the tea, Robyn!"I proceed to tell Grace all the main events that had happened with the company and with Viktor, just leaving out a few private details.
"Oh my god, this is literally like some sort of conspiracy... but I love it!" Grace said once I finished talking, "so what's the plan for staying here then?"
"Basically, we needed somewhere low profile to stay after we execute our plan tomorrow," I replied. "Lucas is going to pick us up and take us into the city, and we're going to meet with someone from the company so that this can all end."
"So all of this is going to end with one meeting?" Grace asked, "how do you even know these people are going to let you go at all?"
"Because we're meeting my mother." I said abruptly, "all I want is to meet her, because half of my life has basically been a lie. I want to hear her version of everything."
"And I'll be there to support her, of course." Viktor said, putting an arm around me.
"That's amazing, how you're meeting your birth mother after all these years! And how you've got Viktor supporting you... you guys must be really good friends now, right?" Grace came out with excitedly.
"Umm... yeah. I guess you could call us that." I answered, struggling not to blush.
"Aww, that's so sweet! I literally could imagine you two being a couple... oh god, did I actually say that out loud? I'm so sorry!"
"No, it's fine. Robyn is my girlfriend!" Viktor interrupted, with a huge smile on his face. I wasn't expecting him to tell anyone about us yet...
"Woah, really? Oh my god, you're like the cutest couple ever!" Grace began to fangirl. And to be honest, I would've done the same. "Have you gone out on dates yet?"
"Not officially," Viktor answered, squeezing my hand. "But I really would like to take Robyn to my home town once this weird situation is all over."
"And I would love that." I replied, squeezing his hand back.
"Aww guys, that's literally so cute. I hope everything goes to plan for you tomorrow... but there's still one question I have, why did you have to come to my house instead of one of Viktor's friends?" Grace asked.
"Lucas said that it's best if we stay off the company's radar if the talk doesn't go to plan... because we don't know what they're gonna do." I answered, trying not to think about the potential consequences. "But hopefully we won't have to worry about that thanks to you helping us."
"You're very welcome! You can literally come here anytime... my life is so boring at the minute. I love a bit of drama!" Grace smiled. She reminded me so much of myself before I met Viktor....
