It was only about 9am and I wasn't going bowling until 7pm. I didn't know what to do to kill time. I threw myself belly first onto my bed and contemplated on whether or not I should just take a nap. While I was debating with myself, I heard a knock on my door.
I rolled over and saw my aunt and cousins coming in. Harper and Sparrow ran and jumped on my bed on either side of me while my aunt sat at the edge of the bed. They all stared at me with questioning eyes. I knew exactly what they were thinking but I didn't want to answer them. So I just stared back with a raised eyebrow.
My Aunt Stella spoke io first. "Sooo you're going bowling with the boys tonight huh?"
"Mmmhhhhmmmm" I dragged out.
"Why didn't you tell us?!" Sparrow practically yelled in my ear shaking me."
"Yeah! When were you planning on telling us?" Harper said crossing her arms with this look on her face like she was trying to be intimidating and look like she had authority over me.
I ticketed her and she broke her facade. "I was going to tell you guys later tonight before I went."
"Why didn't you tell us last night when we questioned you about your second date?" My aunt said.
"Oh my gosh because last night WASN'T a date and neither is tonight. I didn't tell you guys because I knew y'all would freak out and fangirl about it."
"Well you're right about that," Sparrow said.
"What time are you going?" Aunt Stella questioned.
"7pm. I don't know what to do until then. I was just debating on whether or not I should take a nap when you guys came in."
"Oooohhhh!! Let's go shopping!" Harper said excitedly.
Sparrow perked up hearing that and said "Maybe we should get our nails done?!"
My aunt started clapping excitedly "Yes! Let's go get our nails done and then do a little shopping! And then we'll make sure we're back in time for you to get all dolled up for your date." She smirked at the end of that.
I rolled my eyes, "ITS NOT A DATE." I threw myself back and grabbed a pillow to toss at my aunt.
She swiftly caught it and threw it back at me and it hit me in the face. "Hurry up and get ready so we can go. Come on girls, go get dressed."
And with that they left the room. I sat up and got off of the bed. Grabbed a cute summer dress from my closet to throw on and some flip flops since we were gonna get our nails done. I headed into the bathroom to brush my teeth and hair and threw on some light mascara.
I grabbed my purse and phone and headed downstairs. No one else was down there so I assumed they were still getting ready. I sat on the couch and turned on the tv and pulled out my phone to scroll through social media.
I saw that I had an unread message from a number that wasn't saved. I opened it and it said
"Hey Brynn! It's Luke, thanks for breakfast, it was super good. Can't wait to hangout tonight. Meet me at my car at 7. See you later!"A big smile formed on my face while reading the message. I kept reading it over and over and didn't pay attention to my surroundings. I was in my own little universe until I heard a high pitch scream in my right ear. I jumped and turned to find Harper peeking over my shoulder reading my text.
"Harper! You're going to make me go deaf! Why are you eavesdropping?!" I flipped my phone over and held my ear.
"Omgomgomgomgomg!!!! HE LIKES YOU HE LIKES YOU!! AHHHHHH!!!!" She was jumping up and down.Sparrow and my aunt came in the room and started jumping up and down with Harper and screaming too.
"Wait why are we screaming?" My aunt stopped and asked.
