Date + Party? What could go wrong? (Part 2)

Our ride consisted of shamelessly singing to Katy Perry 'Dark horse' and tons of banter. Izayan refused to tell me where we were going but I tried to get it out of him anyway. I didn't understand why people did that, why would you surprise someone who clearly hates them. But you don't hate them... Devil scoffed Not the point! Actually, it is...

I was making the point that people love giving surprises to people that hate them. It's frustrating, what to watch..? Because you like surprises. I frowned I wanted to stab my own conscience, well I don't like this one, after that it seemed my conscience was basking in the win that she just achieved, but her winning indirectly meant I won so I didn't care...much.

Half way through the journey I realized we were in a car and Izayan was driving, it was a very, very slow realisation for me.

"Hey! Wait whose car is this and since when do you drive??"

"It's Luke's parents car they let me use it when Luke made a big deal about this date and you to his parents and I'm 17 remember. I took my driving test about 4 months ago and I turn 18 next month so I'm good" I nodded acknowledging it then paused.

"Wait, when do you turn 18?"

"1st of December"

"Grrr you're literally 2 years older than me!!! We have a couple of weeks where there's only one year!" He laughed at my annoyance.

"Why, is dating an older man a problem?" He asked trying to sound innocent so I decided to play with him a little bit.

I gulped fakely "Um... Well yeah I have a rule I can only date someone a year older than me..." I frowned "so I guess I can date you for a few weeks then we'll have to call it quits or go back to being friends." I sounded dead serious and I swear Izayan's facial expression changed from a frown to a very dirty smirk.

"Trust me Kitten by the end of these few weeks you'll change your mind. No one can resist me." I laughed

"Conceited much? I was joking anyway I'm game if you are." It was a statement rather than a question so he didn't have to answer but he did.

"I've been game since I met you in the alley way" he looked and me and winked and I actually blushed yay (!) Awkward nervous Niki is back... Man up! Thanks Devil I really enjoy these pep talks, I thought while rolling my eyes.

"Here we are!" I looked outside to see we had parked in front of an expensive restaurant called Chucks the food here is good apparently but way too expensive. I cringed me, myself hated spending money but I also hated people spending major money on me, unless of course it's my Masis money, then I wouldn't regret it one bit.

Izayan opened the door for me and I got out awkwardly standing there before deciding to man up and voice my thoughts " Um I know eating at a place like this is included in 'sweeping me off my feet' thing, but you can do that somewhere cheap too" the moment I finished my sentence worry covered his face.

"Shit! Do you not like this place?" he asked panicked and I immediately corrected myself.

"No, no I mean I've never been here but I heard it's really expensive and I don't want you spending that kind of money on me... Actually hold on a minute I'm paying half so I guess we can eat here" he grinned mischievously so I knew his answer was going to be something bad.
