Chapter 7

**JANE**
I woke up on the floor with a blanket half on me. Tooth was hovering over me smiling,
"Hay your up, come on everyone is waiting!"
She said cheerfully,
"Why?"
I asked slowly getting up from the floor,
"It's christmas silly!"
She said with a huge grin on her face,
"Come on"
She flew through to the next room I could hear her telling everyone that I was awake. I walked over to the room and squinted at the bright lights, my eyes adjusted and in front of me was a huge Christmas tree covered in beautiful lights and decorations,
"Whoa"
I said with my mouth open in surprise. I have never had a Christmas before, well with other people, so it was a bit surprising for me. I looked down at the bottom of the tree and there were five presents all rapped neatly in red and gold paper and they all had labels on them, presents for all of them but me, I don't really care if I didn't get a present I was used to it. Back wen I was at the orphanage most of the staff would ignore me or didn't like me, I don't know why, so I would regally spend it in my room by the window and watch the children for the houses next to us open there presents, Navi would buy me something like a box of chocolates or colouring pencils so we could both enjoy them but now we won't be celebrating it together anymore. I sat on the floor in the corner next to Sandy,
"Good morning sleepy"
Bunny said slouching down in his chair,
"Merry Christmas Jane"
North said smiling at me,
"Thank you it's my first"
They all looked at me confused, I was waiting for one of them to ask me what I meant but North continued trying not to make it awkward for me,
"Shall we begin?"
North asked the little elf on the floor and it nodded and passed one of the presents to him, he read the label,
"Tooth fairy"
He said passing it over to her for her to open. As they all watched Tooth open her present I scanned the room, everyone was here even some elves and the big hair monster thing that scared me, but were was Jack? I looked around for him but was shocked back to the present opening,
"Easter bunny"
North read out, Bunny got the biggest present of them all, he teared it open and his ears dropped at the sight of a mechanical egg,
"What do you think?"
North asked bunny clicking the top of it and it began to make eggs and paint them,
"It will help you with egg decorating"
"Uhh thanks... but I stick with home decorating, I will use it wen I'm desperate"
"Why not all the time?"
"It's a bleedy egg that makes eggs, no affiance mate but I'm scared of it!"
North sighed and looked at the elf for another present,
"Sandman"
He turned and handed him a box over to him, as he opened his present a elf brings in another box that seemed to have the label scribbled out and there was another name put under it but I couldn't make it out. North had opened his present that Tooth got him, he asked the elf to pass the last two boxes, I was surprised by what he said wen he read the first label,
"Jane?"
He looked at me confused while passing a long thick box over to me, I ripped it open to see a black tube that I could fit my hand round, I picked it out of the box and studied it there was a small button by my thumb and I pushed it making it grow long with a point on each end, everyone jumped including me wen i pressed it,
"You like it?"
Bunny said laughing from my reaction,
"You got me this?"
He nodded, I stood up twirling it side to side,
"I thought I mite get you one that won't break so you can defend yourself"
I smiled and pressed the button to shrink it down. The last present was handed over to North who was shocked again by the label he showed it to Bunny and he shrugged, Jack appeared leaning against the door quickly glancing at him then back at North who was looking at him in a funny way,
"Jane... again?"
He slowly passed it to me, I looked at the label to see Jacks name scribbled out and mine underneath it, I ripped it open and smiled at a light blue neckless that sparkled with icy patterns, I tock it from the box and looked at Jack,
"Did you get this for me?"
He nodded faintly,
"I swapped my present that North got me for a present for you"
He said turning around and walking away. I griped the neckless in one hand and went after him followed by the others who hide to watch are convocation,
"Thats kind of you to get this for me but what about you?"
"I don't want anything"
"But you must have something for Christmas"
"I don't want anything"
He shrugged and turned away from but I stopped him by hugging him from the back, he turned and hugged me back tacking the neckless from my hand and moving my hair away from my neck and attaching the neckless around my neck,
"Thank you"
I said quietly tacking his hand in mine,
"No problem"
He smiled cheekily tucking a peace of hair behind my ear before flying out of Santa's shop leaving me blushing and everyone els laughing and giggling.
