Chapter 12

**JACK**

I sat crossed legged in front of the fire, I stared into it as the flames danced around. I have been gloomy for weeks now I haven't left the shop to look for pitch with the others I haven't helped repair it ether, I just missed Jane so much she made me feel so strange and now that feeling was gone, I miss her beautiful face, her sense of humour and her kindness. I put my hands into my pocket but felt a soled small object, I pulled it out to see the silver ring that Jane always carry's around but never weirs. I had an idea that returning the ring to Jane would be an excuse to see her again but I know that they wouldn't let me but how desperate I was to see her again I had to sneak out without them noticing. I flew out from the back window but stopped by bunny who has standing in front of me crossed pawed,

"And were do you think your going mate?"

"None of your business kangaroo"

He stepped aside which confused me, wasn't he trying to stop me from seeing her,

"I miss her to and I know about your little thing with her, go... Go see her"

"Thanks?"

I flew of towards the town to see Jane again. I got to the village and started to hop from roof to roof towards the orphanage I flew down to the floor next to a couple I walked passed them, there were to old to believe in me, but I was wrong the both jumped wen they looked at me, the boy grasped the girls hand and pulled her in to keep her safe,

"Oh.my.god its jack frost, like Jane said he is real!"

The girl looked at me fascinated,

"Jane? Wait you know Jane!?"

She nodded,

"She kept going on about you, you guys must really love each other"

I went red and flew up away from them quickly, did I love Jane? I flew up to her window and tapped on it, she looked up from her bed and her mouth dropped she ran over to the window and flung it open jumping out to me, I catches her quickly before she could fall,

"Whoa Jane are you tying to kill yourself?"

I laughed flying into her room she was still hugging me,

"Oh Jack don't ever leave me like that again"

She snuggled into my jumper, she pulled away from me and blushed and sat on the bed awkwardly,

"This is the only time I can see you"

I said sadly sitting next to her,

"What! Why?"

She asked almost in tears,

"Its to dangers for you back at the shop were pitch could hurt you again"

She began to cry, she put her head in her hands to hide her face away from me. If I was to truly find out how we feel about each other I need to be forward with her. I put my hand around her and pulled her into me cuddling her, she was shocked and stopped crying taking her hands away from her face. We stayed like that for awhile but I pulled away to give her the ring which made me come here,

"You left this back at the shop"

I pulled it from my pocket,

"Keep it"

She said sadly, I placed it my palm and squeezed my hand tight, the ring began to glow as my ice magic darted into it, me and Jane watched in disbelief as it turned brighter silver almost glowing with little snowflake patterns on it,

"Wow what did you do to it"

She asked taking it from my palm and looking at it closely,

"I don't know"

She looked at me then back at the ring, she slowly put it on her wedding finger and she jumped as the ring tightened on her finger, her skin began to turn really pale and her eyes turned silver her hair transformed into white she jumped back from me trying to pull of the ring but shot ice from her finger tips and froze the wall,

"What's happening to me!"

She screeched still shooting ice from her fingers randomly around the room,

"Stop freaking out or you will turn this place into the north pole, I don't it must be the ring"

She attempted to pull it of but it wouldn't budge suddenly if things couldn't get worse the walls became black and the window was covered with black sand,

"Pitch!"

I snapped grabbing my staff and protecting Jane but a spiral of sand tightened around her pulling away from me,

"Oh dear me what do we have here, oh Jack you have turned her into one of you how... Sad"

He appeared next to her as she struggled for air as the black sand strangled her,

"Let her go!"

I shouted blasting ice from my staff,

"You shouldn't have done that Jack"

he hissed as the black sand covered her and dropped making her disrepair,

"What did you do with her!?"

I shouted but he just started laughing and vanished into the black obese. I rushed back to the shop to tell the others,

"You did what!?"

North snapped as tooth searched the cupboards and rooms for globs to take us to Pitch's domain,

"There all gone!"

"That can't be we had plenty left over from Christmas!"

There was no way to get to her and just as I thought I could have her again she was taken away from me and she was different, I don't think I will ever see her again.
