[Y/N] turned the corner too see the worst sight possible...

Emily was standing deathly still, with [P/N] at her feet doing the exact same.

Found the target....

There was a Green Goliath towering over her, drops of saliva hitting the floor at Emily's feet.

Two glowing red eyes beaming down onto her.

[Y/N] dug his nails as deep as he could into the sand, to slow himself down....which was hopeless.

He kept sliding down towards them, with the situation getting dramatically worse.

By the time [Y/N] had come to a stop, Emily had looked down, without moving her head and saw [Y/N] with her.

She seemed to gain some confidence from this and puffed her chest out, ready to show that her and [Y/N] could do anything together.

[Y/N's] POV-

'Protect Emily and [P/N]. That's all I need to do.' I thought to myself.

I slowly stood up to not alert the Deviljho just yet.

My eyes were frantically scanning around. There's got to be something that we can do to draw his attention or something.

'Any Flash Pods? No... Any Special Arrows? No.... Any Other Monsters....Yes!'

I slowly crept towards Emily and whispered in her ear,

'Have you got any screamer pods?'

'What, Why?' She whispered back.

'You'll just have to trust me on this Emily.'

'Uh, yeah, In my bag.'

'Awesome, just listen to me carefully.'

Emily nodded and kept eye contact with the Deviljho.

I reached my hand around for her bag, not being able to look away from The Deviljho.

I thought the top of my hand brushed against it, but when I went to open the 'bag' it wasn't there....

'Y-You just hit my Thigh...' Emily said, quietly.

'Shit, sorry...' I replied....nothing like some awkward flirting when staring at the face of death.

I moved my hand further down from Emily's thigh and found her bag...for real this time.

I opened the lock and fumbled around for a circular ball...there's got to be one here somewhere.

I brushed the top of a sphere and without Hesitation, grabbed it.

I raised my arm up...and saw a grey round for my slinger, a screamer pod.

I leant towards Emily again,

'Okay, this is gonna sound stupid but we don't have much time'

'Go on'

'I'm going to fire the screamer behind us, which should lure a Diablos into this cave. We can run behind the Deviljho then because it should want to show its dominance over this turf.'

'That's the stupidest pla-'

Emily was cut off by the Deafening Roar of the Deviljho, who had grown tired of waiting at this point.

Without warning, I loaded the Screamer into the slinger and fired it behind me, into the sand.
