Chapter 4 - Night Scenes

Emily POV -

'Okay, I'm Ready!!!' I shouted from inside the tent.

I didn't hear anything back though. It was unusually quiet in the Forest today too, well it was until [Y/N] fought the Pukei, but it should be settling back down now.

I left the tent, with my book and a few vials so I can collect the samples I need.

'I hope that he's not walked off ahead of me....or left.' I thought, trying to think of anything else.

I looked up after my head cleared the tent's entrance and saw surprised to see [Y/N] sneaking up behind a Pilot Hare. I think he wants to capture it but I'm not too good with that stuff.

There was a quiet sound and the Hare wasn't there anymore. [Y/N] had got a new pet....and hasn't noticed me staring at him.

I think he's such a heartthrob. I had been friends with him for a while, but I had started to feel fuzzy around him after he killed a Nergigante like it was any other monster.

After that, every Elder Dragon he killed looked like it was nothing.

Kushala Daora, Teostra, Vaal Hazak, Nergigante and Xeno'Jiiva....all swept aside...well Xeno'Jiiva wasn't as much of a 'push over' for him but it was still amazing.

*SNAP* *SNAP*

Y/N POV -

I clicked my fingers in front of Emily's Face....she hadn't noticed me walk up to her or anything.

'Emily?? You DayDreaming?' I said in a quieter voice.

'Huh? O-ooh, no I'm just thinking...' She said, looking away from me.

'Umm, Are you okay? You sure you want to go, we can always come back la-'

'NO!!!' Emily Interrupted, looking back up at me.

I was a bit taken a back by her answer, did I say something?

'I-I mean, please can we do this today? I really want to.' Emily said, looking at the ground.

'If Your sure your okay, then yeah, I'm ready when you are.' I replied, a bit annoyed myself...Just forget it [Y/N]

'Thanks....I think if we head over towards the Left, where the ParaToads gather, you know the place?' Emily said, while messing with her fingers.

'Yeah I remember, let's go before it gets darker.' I said back, walking slightly ahead.

I knew it was around 6 to 8 o'clock, the sun was setting and the dark setting in, it wasn't too dark that seeing was hard, but it was noticeable.

[P/N] jumped onto a branch next to me and then onto my shoulder. He latched on and smiled at me.

'You gonna stay there?' I asked, tilting my head.

[P/N] just nodded and looked forward. I didn't mind carrying the extra weight....[P/N's] only a bit of fluff compared to the rest of my gear.

I looked back at Emily, who was walking behind me, but had a frown on her face, like something was bothering her.

'You Okay?' I called back

'Hmmm? Oh yeah I'm fine, just thinking.' She Said back.

'What about? I-If you don't mind me asking.' I said.

'Oh Just.....someone.' She replied, looking down again.

'Great...she's got a crush on someone else....FUCK!' I thought, visibly scowling.
