No POV -

[Y/N] hadn't seen Ant since he left the camp after the Radobaan.

[Y/N] knows that if the Radobaan can make the full loop, then Anthony should be close behind, but he's not.

As he pondered, the Odogaron leapt onto the Radobaan, trying to kick it off this turf.

The Odogaron bit down into the Bonemass surrounding the Radobaan's face.

Taking the chance, [Y/N] ran back up the path that the Radobaan came down, towards the upper levels of the Vale.

[Y/N] had reached the flat plain around half way up to the top layer.

He was still bleeding through the slash wound, which was getting so bad that it was leaving a blood trail down his legs and onto the floor.

[Y/N] clutched his abdomen and crouched down to try and stop the bleeding.

He pulled out his BBQ spit, and sparked the flame, then pulled out the knife he keeps on his belt.

It's only really used when he mounts a monster, so it should be clean because he hasn't used it in a while.

He put the blade into the flame, which quickly heated it up.

After around 20 seconds, the blade was starting to glow orange due to the heat.

[Y/N] took the blade out of the fire and moved his abdomen.

He put both hands onto the handle of the knife and shut his eyes.

[Y/N's POV] -

I held the knife by my abdomen.

Breathe in.....Breathe Out.....Breathe In!

I pushed the blade onto the wound, causing a searing pain.

'FUCK!'

I held the blade still, trying to block out the pain.

I felt tears starting to well up in my eyes due to the pain.

Mercifully, I felt the pain lessen, meaning that the wound was cauterised.

I pulled the knife away dropping it to the floor.

'Argh.....That Stupid Fucking Mutt.' I cursed.

Quickly, I stood up while still in pain, and picked my knife up, putting it back onto its holster.

I kicked the fire out, and folded the BBQ back up to fit into my kitbag.

I looked around the area, trying to see if Ant had been here.

There were piles of bones left behind by the Radobaan, but nothing a hunter would leave.

It was clear that he wasn't here....meaning that something stopped him from getting here.

I knew that a Radobaan would've come down from the top layer, and not up from the bottom.

Pretty much all of the monsters stick to the same path ways....which is weird.

I ran up the slope, running straight past the Vespoids that had gathered there.

'Hey! Ant!' I called out.

No answer.

I ran further up the slope, untill I could see the top of the Vale.

I took one big breath and made that last run to the top.
