I went to LJ's room and told him about my first assignment. He smiled happily and hugged me. "That's great! Do you know who you're killing?" he asked curiously.

"No, not yet. Slendy didn't tell me."

"Yeah, that's how he was with me, too. Well, my first assignment was on my own, since I was... nevermind," he rushed.

"Since you were what?"

"Really, it's nothing. I don't like to talk about my... past." He trailed off on the last sentence. I quietly nodded my head. I think I just made things really awkward...

"So, how are you gonna kill?" he asked eagerly. Leave it to LJ to brighten the mood!

"I'm not sure yet. I don't exactly have a weapon to use..." I said quietly as I looked at the floor.

"Well just do what you did last time!" he smiled. I shrugged.

"I guess I could do that. It's just that... everyone here has their own weapon. I mean, I know that I've only killed one person, and not even on my own, but I'm sure most people already had a weapon, even before their first assignment."

"Jinx... most of us here don't have a weapon. Sure, Jeff has his knives and Toby has his hatchets, but most of us don't have a specific weapon that we use. I don't, and I know that Pinkamena doesn't. Neither does Clockwork, or BEN, or Lost Silver. Or-"

"Okay, I get it," I laughed. "But you all have your... thing. Like, you befriend children then kill them, BEN haunts Majora's Mask, Slendy does the thing with the static and-"

"Wait," LJ said, uncontrollably laughing. "You call him Slendy?"

"Yeah, I thought that was normal!" I said defensively, laughing a bit myself.

"No, it's not. It sounds like a pet name," he teased, still laughing.

"It's not!" I laughed. We were laughing for 10 minutes straight, him occasionally making comments that would make me laugh even harder than I already was. At this point, I realized I was overreacting about all of this. I was expecting to be perfect by my first assignment. I still had so much training to do until I was anywhere near perfect. Even after all if that training, I wouldn't be perfect. I never would be.

I waited for our laughter to die down, then I spoke. "Listen... I'm sorry," I spoke. "I guess I was just overreacting..."

"Yeah, you were," he laughed. We hugged and spent another hour talking about the most random things. I was really glad to have him as a friend. He was serious and even scary sometimes, but he could cheer anyone up.
