It took a few days of Yoongi being in constant contact with Seokjin, Hoseok and his other allies to get back to trying to relax. The coast had been cleared which meant they could safely enjoy the rest of their vacation.
Jimin had just mainly hung around the hotel, always spending his time in the big crowds. He enjoyed the occasional swims and talks with the locals, but damn had he been nervous whenever he stepped a foot outside.
Today was the first day Yoongi was going outside again and Jimin took it upon himself to teach the vampire how to swim. The raven haired in question had tried convincing Jimin that they should first have their talk but he wanted to hear nothing about it. "I think it's smarter if we first get life's necessities out of the way first." Jimin had used it as an excuse, but in reality he was just trying to delay receiving his rejection.
So they went to the indoor pool where literally no one else but them were at. It was the perfect learning conditions, safe still water with no wildlife. After a day's worth of swimming, Yoongi finally had the movement down. He still was far from being a decent swimmer but at least he could keep his head above water.
Yoongi hoisted himself onto the side of the pool, clearly out of breath. "Aren't you.... supposed to be lighter in the water? Why does my body feel like a brick?" The vampire wheezed out.
"You're lighter once you know how to swim." Jimin had remarked while swimming multiple laps to warm his muscles up. Yoongi watched Jimin do his laps in fascination as to how he seemed to flow through the water so easily. Maybe one day he'll be at that level, maybe not.
At dinner Yoongi had yet again insisted on having their talk. However, Jimin just popped in his headphones and pretended to not hear or see the vampire's attempt to catch his attention. He felt bad doing that to Yoongi but Jimin really wouldn't be able to stomach that rejection, he wanted to at least have some food in his system.
Plus, they would have to spend some more nights in Hawaii, sharing the same bed when Jimin knew Yoongi didn't like him. It would be awkward and a constant reminder that nobody wanted him. His past lovers didn't want him, his new love interest didn't want him, even the few desperate men he had dated didn't want him.
-
"I'm going to assume you have another excuse for not wanting to talk?" Yoongi asked once the two of them were back in their hotel room.
Jimin took a swig of his beer and checked the time on his watch. Dramatically, Jimin stretched his body out and yawned. "Oh would you look at that, it's getting so late... and I'm oh so tired... I should really sleep." The mundane brushed past the vampire and hopped into the bed, luckily he was already dressed in his pajamas, else Yoongi would've one hundred percent kicked him out.
Jimin had deliberately turned his back to the vampire's side of the bed and positioned himself to the edge. Yoongi let out a sigh before slipping into his own side of the bed. "Jimin." He had called out, the said man suddenly grabbing a pillow and putting it in between them.
"Are you fucking kidding me? Jimin."
"Sleeping." Jimin replied, but his eyes were wide open and his heart was beating rapidly. Please drop the subject, please drop the subject.
"We're talking tomorrow." Yoongi eventually stated, loud and clear.
"We'll see about that." Jimin had muttered under his breath, luckily the vampire didn't hear him, or at least pretended to not have heard him.
