"I- I can explain."

"Can you? Can you really?" Taehyung's eyes were filled with anger, his usual soft and welcoming eyes were dark. Jimin could cry seeing that, he really ruined their friendship. Taehyung dug his finger into Jimin's chest. "You promised, to come by and talk to my mom. You know she misses seeing you!" After that sentence Taehyung's frown turned into a teasing smile.

Jimin's lungs immediately pushed out a breath of relief. He didn't know. "Oopsie?" Jimin tried his best to smile, not wanting Taehyung to notice the sheer panic he had been in not too long ago. Taehyung started chuckling, pulling Jimin in for a hug. "You're so easy to scare Minnie!"

Jimin forced out a laugh, patting Taehyung's back. "Yeah, you know me... Jimin the scaredy cat." Taehyung eyed his friend in suspicion, he wasn't acting like himself at all. The Jimin he knew would get highly offended and try to defend himself despite knowing he would lose the argument. "Jimin, are you good? It was just a joke."

"I know... I was just worried I did something wrong..."

"Well... It appears that you have because you said you could explain... explain what?" Jimin bit his lip, trying to quickly come up with an excuse. "I ate the last cookie."

It was silent for a while before Taehyung started laughing loudly. "That's it?"

"Uh... Yup." Taehyung snickered, wiping away the tears from his eyes. "Okay damn, I hate you for that but, forgiven." Jimin praised the heavens that the universe made him walk in on Jungkook eating the last cookie, else he wouldn't have known it was gone.

Taehyung wrapped his arms around his friend, Jimin trying hard to not let him feel his rapidly beating heart.

Jimin had gone to talk to Yoongi but the vampire seemed busy packing some things. "Where are you going?"

Yoongi's eyes briefly fell on Jimin's figure before resuming the packing in silence. "Yoongi? Hello? I asked you a question."

"I have to leave for a few days, that's all." Jimin closed the door behind him, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. "But where are you going?"

"Not important."

"What if something goes wrong? Shouldn't we know where you are?" The mundane propped his hands against his hips, giving Yoongi a judgemental look. "Seokjin is going with me."

"Okay, what if something happens to you AND Seokjin?"

"Hoseok knows."

"Then why can't I know?" Yoongi looked up from his bag, a heavy sigh breezing past his lips. "I'm going to the council where I'll have to explain what my clan has been up to for the past 10 years." Yoongi had briefly mentioned the council to Jimin before. It was a group of ancient creatures that looked over the supernatural world and ensured rules weren't being broken. It was to keep their world in harmony, Jimin just thought they were being a bunch of dictators.

"But... You haven't been the leader for that long." Jimin's hands fell back to his side, for some reason he really didn't trust it. "I'm going to be held accountable for my father's mistakes, yes... But I'll be fine."

"Has your father fucked up that badly?"

"He's responsible for the deaths of almost all of us, so yes. He fucked up that badly." Jimin pressed his lips in a thin line, he wanted to help. "What do you think the council will do about it?"

"I don't know.. Pay a fee?"

"What if they lock you up?" Yoongi broke their eye contact, going to pack his bag again. The vampire knew it was going to be a possibility. "...Seokjin isn't just going to protect you, is he?"

".... The Kim family has always been loyal to the Min's... My great grandfather made the deal that if the Min's no longer have a successor, the Kim's take over the clan. So if something happens to me there, Seokjin will be sworn in as the new leader."

"Yoongi, I don't want you to go."

"I have to."
