The heavy traffic during the rush hours was making Forth impatient as he sat in his car, stuck at the intersection. He sighed in irritation, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, waiting for the lights to turn green. Stupid commuters, he thought.

Of course, he knew that his mood wasn't good, thanks to the unproductive last night spent with Ming's father, going through one file after another. They had exhausted all possible research materials, starting from application forms of the employees to their service records saved in the computer hard drives. Nothing yielded any positive result though. Damn saboteur he cursed.

The light finally changed, allowing Forth to inch his car forward, and he took a left turn, heading towards the police station. He decided to stop at the hospital on the way.

Why were so many cars out today? Or am I just outside at the wrong time? He thought, impatiently tooting on the car's horn at the black minivan in front that was refusing to move aside. Forth frowned heavily. What he should ask himself was why he was feeling so much irritated a simple thing like the traffic. No. Not irritated. Uneasy was the right word.

The van finally moved aside, allowing him to pass it and he stepped on the accelerator, skilfully navigating through the vehicles.

News about Kit was good though. He was finally making an effort to get back to his routine. Forth shook his head slightly. He really had the unique luck of getting in a gang comprising of the craziest men in the city. No wonder they were called the crazy doctors' gang. They had to make all sorts of efforts to drag Kit away from his self destructive mode whenever things went wrong. Of course, this was only when Ming was involved. He only had to deal with it twice till date. Forth savagly made up his mind to invite Kit to a wrestling match once Ming was up. If nothing, it would lessen his exasperation at the crazy doctor.

He glanced casually at the rearview mirror as a car honked behind him and moved aside, allowing it to pass. But his gaze suddenly focused on the mirror, sharpening.

There was the nondescript black minivan again.

Forth took a deliberate turn at the next intersection, keeping an eye on the reflection. He had only gone a few metres when the van showed up again.

"Hmm..."

He tapped lightly on the accelerator again, increasing the speed. The van fell a little back before catching up again. Forth noted that it was maintaining a careful distance, always keeping behind a couple of other cars but never going out of sight.

"You want to play huh?" He muttered. "Well, I'm not going to stop you."

He dialled a number from the car.

"Forth. How long till you reach?"

"I'm not coming today Pha."

"Why? Have you got any new leads?"

"Maybe." He said, making another turn and slowing down slightly, watching the van slow down as well.

"What?"

"Pha...I'm being followed. Don't tell Beam. It would only worry him."

"Whaaat? Are you sure??"

"Pretty much yes." Forth floored the accelerator as he reached the highway, letting the car race forward. The van fell out of sight. "There is a black minivan that has been keeping behind my car since I drove out today. I didn't notice it at first, but it surely is responding to my experiments."

"Shia..."

"Tell Beam I'll see him later. I have somebody to take for a ride." He said grimly.
