No Name [Ereri/Riren Fanfic] [COMPLETED]

Chapter Five

     After we had performed our songs at the last of the many locations we had, we were preparing to go back on stage to announce to the world that Eren is the new member of No Name. I was waiting for H and M to finish talking with Nifa and Erwin, so I went over to Eren upon seeing that he was sitting in a chair off in the distance. I pulled up another chair and sat down across from him. He didn't look up or speak, so I cleared my throat a bit and spoke.

     "So, you ready to be known as J, the newest member of No Name?"

     I watched for anything that would be taken as a response, but got nothing. Either something was bothering him or he was nervous about going on stage. Just as I was about to ask which one, Eren answered my unspoken question.

     "Sorry. I just had something on my mind. Maybe I think too much."

     "You're fine, trust me, I know what you're going through. When I first created this band, I too had a lot of thoughts swirling in my head. But after my first performance, they just stopped. All those thoughts I concerned myself with just disappeared," I stopped myself and rubbed the back of my neck. "Sorry about that, I guess I have a tendency to talk a lot now that we have someone my age."

     "It's fine, L. I'd talk a lot to my friends, they'd get annoyed but they didn't care. Thanks for the encouragement. Should we go now?"

     "No problem, and yeah, we should go. Don't forget your blindfold."

     "You should say that to yourself."

     We both chuckled at each other's remarks before joining up with H and M. They turned to us and smiled before we walked up to Erwin. I took it upon myself to announce that we were ready. He nodded and went onto the stage to announce our reappearance.

     "And now, I present to you, No Name!"

     I could tell that the audience was surprised; they didn't expect anything else after the performance. H, M, and myself came out onto the stage, motioning for Eren to stay back until I called for him. I took hold of the mic and that's when I knew that these people weren't ready for what I had to say.

     "Hello, ladies and gentlemen, we've come out onto the stage before you, once again, to announce a new development within our band. Everyone here has to have heard about the raffle we were holding; inviting new members to the band. Well, I am here tonight to tell you that we have a winner and a new member of No Name."

     The crowd before me started gasping and murmuring things, but I continued forth.

     "He is the youngest in our band now, he has many stories to share with you through his music, and he has by far the greatest talent for music within this band. Now, without further delay, I present to you, J! The newest addition to No Name!"

     Eren walked onto the stage, and the crowd was silent, until a couple of audience members started clapping; the rest followed suit.

     I was a bit worried there, and I could tell Eren was too, but soon enough the crowds will love him. Once they hear his music, they won't have any doubts about him.

     We were packing the last of everything up when I overheard Eren talking to someone, or two people. I looked over my shoulder and saw a black-haired girl with a red scarf and a blond-haired boy talking with Eren. Are those his friends he mentioned? I pondered.

     I slightly smiled before carrying the last box over to the crew that was helping us pack up, but that was when I heard someone yelling from the direction I had come from. I quickly went back over to that area and found that the girl had slapped Eren and was still yelling at him about something. I walked over to the group to try and break things up.
