"Do you love him enough to die for him?" Bert spoke darkly. He let his hands wander over Gerard, showing Frank what he could do to him.
Bert wanted money, but that money was to have power. He needed that money to beat Frank Iero in the drug race they had created. Without money, Frank Iero's business would most likely fail and Bert's would succeed.
But Bert didn't want 'most likely'. He wanted definitely. And killing Frank Iero would definitely kill his business as well.
Sure, Pete or Andy could run it. But they wasn't experienced leaders like Frank. They wasnt naturally born businessmen. The company would sink like a damaged ship without Frank. And that thought made Bert McCracken really fucking happy.
"What?" Frank questioned, completely bewildered at what Bert was getting at.
Bert just laughed sadistically at the mans confusion before raising a gun to Gerard's head.
Mikey Way gasped, tears rolling down his face as he watched his brother stiffen under the weapon. He was sure that if his heart were to beat any faster it would break out of his rib cage.
"What the fuck are you doing?" Frank spat. Pete held him back once again. Knowing that if Frank did anything rash, Bert wouldn't hesitate to shoot them all.
"The new price of Gerards life, is yours." Bert stated nonchalantly, taking the safety off his gun. The small sound made Gerards body flinch violently, and his little brother sob harder.
"How do I know you'll let him live?" Frank asked, weighing out his options.
"You have my word that Gerard, Mikey and Pete will all leave here. I have no need for them anymore." Bert shrugged.
"Okay." Frank replied, causing Gerard to shake his head violently.
"No, please don't." The redhead cried.
"Sh, it's okay Gee." Frank spoke sadly.
"I'll let you say a quick goodbye, as I'm not a complete monster." Bert laughed, leaning back on the table behind him. He loved the ultimate power he had in this situation.
Gerard quickly rushed into his boyfriends arms, almost knocking him over with the force of the hug. He cried against Franks chest, holding on to the man for dear life.
"P-please, I don't want you to die." Gerard sobbed, as Frank shakily held him closer.
"It's okay, Gee." Frank cooed, pulling Gerard back so they were face to face. "I love you so much and I hate myself for ever letting you and your brother get into this situation. This is my fault, and I'm taking the wrap for it." Frank sniffled, attempting to remain his composure.
"I don't wanna be here if you're not." Gerard panicked, holding on to Franks hand for comfort.
"Don't say that. You'll have a good life. The money I have left is yours, you and Mikey can move far away from here if you like. You'll find love again, I swear." Frank spoke shakily.
"I love you so much." Gerard cried, pulling Frank into a kiss.
"I love you so much more." Frank smiled slightly. Frank squeezed Gerards hand softly before letting his slip out of the grip. "Just don't forget about me, yeah?"
With that Gerard broke down. Doing everything in his power to try and grab Frank again, but Pete Wentz held him back.
"I love you, man." Frank smiled at Pete who was crying too. "I love you too."
Pete had a vice grip on Gerard as Frank walked towards Bert. He stood strongly, walking with his head high. Frank Iero was not a coward, he refused to be. Even in his dying moments he'd be brave.
Frank Iero wasn't scared of death. He didn't believe much happened after it, just that it's a big void of nothingness. After you're gone, that's it for you. But the world continues to spin, and people continue to live. And that gave him comfort really.
Gerard would still be alive, he'd be living a good life with Franks money and wouldn't even have to go back to the strip club. He could move far away if he wanted to, start fresh.
His boyfriend could meet someone the right way. He could meet a cute boy in a coffee store and fall in love with them. He could get married, have kids and live the normal but perfect life he deserved.
Gerard Way was screaming at this point. The redhead thrashed beneath Petes grip, doing everything he could to be released. But the man was too strong.
"Please!" Gerard screamed. "I want to die instead!"
"That's not your choice to make, princess." Bert laughed, picking his gun back up from the table.
"On your knees and hands behind your back, Iero." Bert instructed and Frank followed.
"No, Frank! Please, stop! I'll do anything!" Gerard yelled, but Bert didn't listen.
Gerard fought harder now, his flight or fight instinct kicking in. Adrenaline rippled through his body. He wasn't sure what he planned on doing, he just know he needed to escape Pete Wentz's grip.
He rose an elbow before bringing it back down forcefully to the mans stomach causing him to grunt and release the redhead.
"Gee!" Mikey cried, as he held Petes side who clutched his stomach.
Gerard didn't care though, he ran to Frank. Throwing himself down on the carpet beside him, and wrapping his arms around the tattooed man.
"I don't want to be here without you." Gerard repeated from before.
"Gerard, please I-"
"Listen angel, your boyfriends gonna die." Bert spoke bluntly, raising his gun to Franks head. "And if I were you, I'd move or you'll end up covered in his brains."
The cold metal of the gun was now pressed against Frank Iero's forehead. Bert's view was perfect. His mortal enemy practically bowing before him alongside his companions who all cried.
Bert McCracken was about to make a real name for himself. He had brought down Almighty Iero, the Jaguar of Jersey, the self made billionaire, the last obstacle in Bert's way to becoming the next Pablo Escobar.
"I love you, Gee." Frank spoke shakily with his eyes clenched shut.
"I-I love you too." Gerard replied, clutching on to Franks hand once again.
And with that, a gun shot sounded and a body hit the floor.
