Gerard Way shook violently as he held his baby brother in his arms. The way he cradled Mikey reminded him of when they were children and the youngest would have a nightmare. He'd always end up in Gerards bed, clinging to him for reassurance.
The room that the two lay in was dismal to say the least. It was completely empty. No windows, no chairs, nothing.
Gerard couldn't help feel his heart break when he remembered the way his little brother cried not so long ago. The unfamiliar men beat him for attempting to put up a fight and there was nothing Gerard could do but watch.
He wanted so desperately to take his place, he didn't want his brother dragged into the mess that he had entered willingly. Mikey didn't deserve it, he was too innocent for his own good.
The eldest knew that Mikey would wake up soon and most likely bombard him with a lot of questions that Gerard didn't have any answers to.
He wasn't sure he could explain anything to Mikey. What if him having knowledge of the situation just threw him in deeper?
Gerard decided not to tell Mikey anything, that way if anything did happen the youngest sibling wouldn't have to worry about withholding any information because he wouldn't have any.
Not much had happened since they'd been thrown in the room as though they were garbage bags. Nobody had so much as checked on the boys. Not that Gerard was complaining, he'd rather stay where he was than face what the men had in store.
Gerard thought about Frank and that he'd most likely be aware that he was missing by now and prayed that his boyfriend found a way to save him.
He didn't blame Frank for the situation he was in. Gerard knew what he was getting himself into when he fell in love with Frank Iero. Then again, Gerard never really thought he'd be in the line of danger. He thought the risk would be on Franks life and he'd just be some kind of 'stay at home gangsters wife'.
He much less suspected that his little brother Mikey would be affected. He scolded himself mentally for even agreeing to Mikey staying at Franks house because it was a stupid risk to take.
But Gerard hadn't thought of the risks. He honestly hadn't thought of much since he'd been with Frank. He didn't think about how him leaving the club may have effected their business, or about how he'd have no income if he and Frank did split up, he didn't think about the poor man who he rented his old apartment from who now had less money to live from. He hadn't thought at about anyone other than his boyfriend.
And he was sure Frank had done the same. They were so infatuated with each other, so incredibly in love that they blocked out everybody else.
That had led Gerard where he was now. Lay on a damp floor, filled with anxiety at the suspense of his current situation and holding his little brother to his chest.

"Anyone that has ever attempted to buy my company, call them back." Frank instructed to Andy who scoffed in return.
"Iero, you're not giving away you're damn empire. It's your fucking life. It's all of our lives!" Andy retaliated, but Frank didn't want to hear it.
"Gerard is my life now. Get them on the phone." The tattooed man ordered, finding the key to his safe.
Pete Wentz counted his own money, working out how much all of his cars would be if he was to sell them. Not nearly enough to buy Gerard and Mikey back. But it was something.
Ray Toro walked into the meeting room now and even his usual ray of sunshine aura couldn't brighten the dark mood of the his co-workers.
"Don't sell anything until we do the math, Frank." Ray warned as he tapped away on his laptop.
