My jaw dropped as I could feel my cheeks heating up. I found myself looking down at my lap, feeling flustered at what had just happened seconds ago.

Looking back up, Dr. Park's cheeks were just as heated as mine as he give me a cheeky smile. I was flustered, and also suddenly getting excited at his big step. I didn't know what it meant though, but I hoped that it meant what I thought it did.

We sat there, staring at each other in comfortable silence for a few moments before Dr. Park spoke up.

"I like you, Y/N." He started. "Not just as a patient but as a lady," he smiled. I was star struck at his confession. At the same time I felt nervous for what he was going to say.

I chuckled, "Why would you like someone who literally has a broken arm and leg?" He took my hand and stroked it with his thumb. I didn't mean it in a sad way, but I really wondered why he found interest in me when I'm literally just sitting here with a broken arm and leg.

"I mean, that doesn't really matter to me." He shrugged, grinning. "I like you because even though you had your downsides-you still never gave up. I've heard that there were some patients that left without recovering because they felt that the task was too hard. You, you stayed here and now you almost have full functionality in your hand." He rubbed the back of his neck. "There were days where I heard you crying, too. Those were the days where I felt helpless, and I didn't know what to do to help," He was probably mentioning when I was crying over Daeshim.

"And I don't know if it's because of me, or because you're my first patient, but I have this attraction to you. Plus~ you're pretty, Y/N-ah." My jaw almost dropped as he dropped the formality. He was smiling so wide that his eyes had closed and I looked down, feeling my cheeks heating up again.

Was he gaining feelings for me? Maybe I'm just dumb. But he is currently confession to me right now. What do I do?

"I have a need to protect you at times, and to always make sure you're okay. It might also just be me being a doctor, but It could also mean that I care a lot more about you than usual." He stroked his hand through his fluffy brown hair as I smiled softly. "It's okay to not feel the same way yet. I understand and know the feeling, but just know that I don't plan on being only your doctor all the time. I plan on being your friend and..," he suddenly stopped. And more?

"So," he suddenly stood up, brushing his white lab coat. He clapped his hands together, making me raise my glance to him. "How about I take you for a stroll?" Dr. Park smiled as he brought in a wheelchair.

I've never felt so excited to finally get off of this bed and go somewhere that isn't the bathroom. It's like I haven't seen any light of day for the past few months even though there were windows in the room. Dr. Park seemed to sense my excitement as he bounced up and down as if he were me right now.

I placed my one arm underneath me, so I could push off and balance myself on my leg, but it was difficult. I had a non fully functioning arm while I had to lift basically my whole body up with one arm. Usually~ a nurse would help me out but today just wasn't my luck.

"Here, let me help you." Dr. Park's voice came from the side as I felt my body being lifted up from the bed and immediately onto the chair. The machine had been set next to me, too. "You're pretty light for a 22 year old-you should eat more so your body could recover quicker," he pouted. Something about that pout that got me.

"All set, ready to take that walk you've been waiting for?" Dr. Park asked in his high pitched voice. I quickly nodded, not knowing what was coming next.

"Let's goooooooooooooo!" Dr. Park exclaimed as he pushed us quickly down the halls of the hospital. When I mean quickly, I mean fast. Really fast. Like, Lightning McQueen fast and I don't even watch Cars.

You know that scene, or multiple scenes in Spongebob Squarepants where his skin is literally falling or blowing off his skeleton? Yeah, that's basically me right now. How is Dr. Park this fast? "Aren't you going to get fired for this?" I asked as he continued speeding down hallways with the wheelchair.

We passed by nurses that moved out of the way, startled at the speed. "As long as we don't disrupt other patients and workers then we are okay," he said just as he turned sharply around the corner. In that moment, I felt like a race car driver, taking sharp turns and going over the speed limit. At the same time that could mean I was in a high speed car chase.

I raised my arm up, enjoying the ride before it had come to a halt, almost flinging me off the wheelchair. Luckily, an arm went across my waist before I could fling a mile off. I look up, finding Dr. Park's face very close to mine as his arm was draped across my stomach. "Oops, heh," he giggled. I shook my head as I forced myself not to smile. "We're here," Dr. Park pushed the wheelchair slowly as the doors slid open when we walked past it.

The green grass had grown, and the sky was blue. The night was young, the sun was gone as the moon had shone. The trees blew with the wind, making the atmosphere a little chilly for me. It was fall, so the leaves on the tree had left it, covering the green grass with dried leaves that had been long gone.

I shivered, rubbing my arm on my shoulder repeatedly. A long, white lab coat draped out onto me, covering my collarbones down. "It's a bit chilly today, but I couldn't find an open time since I had a lot of patients to deal with-and I had to get you out today. You seemed quite miserable in the hospital room, to be honest." Dr. Park smiled as he sat down on the bench next to me.

"You're right." I said softly, fidgeting with my fingers underneath the coat. "I missed this," I gestured in front of me. "Thank you, I think I really needed this breath of fresh air." I said as he rubbed the back of his neck. It seemed to be a habit of his. I wondered if it was just because he was nervous, or if he did it all the time. It also made me wonder how many people had the habit, since I remember the anonymous man doing the same exact thing.

We sat there for a few minutes before Dr. Park stood up. "It's getting pretty close to the end visiting hour, which is the same time as curfew. I wish we could stay out here longer, but I'll try my best to take you out like this more-especially during the time when other patients are out, too." I nodded in understanding as he smiled as he grabbed the handle, wheeling me back inside.

Going back to my room wasn't as fast as going outside, but I didn't want it to be. Spending time with him was fun and admirable. It wasn't awkward or forced.

I had almost forgotten to tell him one thing. "Oh, and thank y-" I stopped as we reached my room. My heart rate dropped as my breathing halted. Dr. Park stopped too-I could feel tenseness radiating off of him, or was it me?

"Daeshim?"
