Hello, dear readers! Everything alright?
Nico
Sex. That's what I was going to say. Perhaps it was for the best that I was interrupted. I'm not sure if I should have said that.
What is up with me? I don't normally over share.
Is strange that after all Will has done, I now feel safe enough with him to say anything and everything that comes to mind. I should really watch that.
What scares me the most is that Will is pretty close to make the list of the 'things' I like. I've no idea how to handle that.
Our parents came back with the food Will's mom had prepared, so we had a picnic on the beach. While we ate, our parents showed us the pictures they took from under the water.
We spent some more time in the Bay taking pictures and talking until it was time to proceed to our next stop. The extinct volcano Mauna Kea, but before that we had to go to Hilo, where our new hotel is located, and check in.
The trip from Honaunau Bay to Hilo takes a little over two hours, two boring hours.
"Are we there yet?" my mother asks for the fifth time in half an hour.
Our parents took turns behind the wheel, and now was Will's parents turn to drive.
"Love, they already said we'll get there in half an hour," my dad says calmly.
My mother sighs. "I know, I'm sorry, is just that... I want to take a shower. I'm all sticky because of the sea's salt water."
I lean toward Will and say, "That's the reason."
Will, who was bored watching the conversation between our parents, turns to me.
"What reason?" he asks, confused.
"The reason why I don't have to have more than the reason that seawater is salty to explain why I won't get in it."
Will smiles as if I'm a mystery he couldn't wait to unravel. He looks at me for a few seconds, still smiling, and out of nowhere leans to the side and lays his head on my shoulder.
I freeze, unable to react, but still I notice that his hair now pressed against my neck is very soft and I have to resist the urge to run my fingers through them.
"I'm tired. Lend me your shoulder," he explains, his eyes already closed.
We arrived at the hotel and, to my surprise, our parents put Will and me in the same room. Apparently, there were no other rooms available and our parents thought that between sharing a room with them or with a friend, we would prefer it that way.
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at the big grin that took over Will's face when we heard that. I also couldn't help but smile a little, but I turned to the elevator so that Will wouldn't see it.
As it was still a long way until sunset, we all had time to rest and get ready for the trip to Mauna Kea. Everyone showered and then we had lunch and explored the hotel for a while.
Most of the preparations for the trip were left to our parents, so we only had to separate the winter clothes we had to take since from here to the top of the mountain there is a 30 degree difference due to the altitude.
With our 4x4-rotation rental car, we travel to the Visitor Information Station, where the altitude acclimatization takes place.
As we neared the top, the clouds seemed so close, is as if we're heading towards the sky.
Every so often, our parents would stop to take pictures, one of the stops was at the Mauna Kea Observatory that's located near the top of the mountain. The sunset was at 6:52 pm so we still had about 2 hours until then, so we stopped to see the observatories up close.
"Did you know this observatory has some of the largest telescopes in the world? I would love to use them, but they aren't open to the public."
I can't suppress a giggle.
"What?" Will asks as he looks at me sideways.
"You're a nerd," I say so.
Will rolls his eyes, then starts pouting. "Whatever," he says.
I laugh at his pout. "Hey. Don't get angry," I say.
I look to our parents to see if they are paying attention to us. When I see they're distracted, I kiss the corner of Will's mouth, what makes him undo his pout and look at me surprised.
"It's a discovery, not an insult," I say.
Will smiles looking at me fondly. "I don't really care. You have a right to call me that."
We walk some more and even I take some pictures of the landscape. It is all so beautiful, but the cold never ceases to bother me even though I'm wearing layers and layers of cold clothes.
"It's so cold," I complain.
Will suddenly takes my hand. I look at our parents to see if they are looking at us, but they are busy taking their own pictures.
Will pulls me behind one of the observatories, out of the sight of our parents. Our gloves prevent direct contact between our hands, and that bothers me. More than anything, I want to feel Will's skin against mine.
"What are you doing?" I ask urgently as Will crowds me, making me take a step back and hit the observatory wall with my back.
Will puts his right hand on the observatory wall beside my face while his left hand remains intertwined with mine. Neither of us makes a point of letting go. Then he leans forward, bringing his face close to mine.
"I know of something that will heat you up," he says, leaning forward.
I feel my heart pounding against my chest, my breathing gets heavier, and my skin prickles.
"And what would that be?" I ask maliciously, propping my back on the observatory.
Will pulls my waist bringing our hips together. I move my hands to his shoulders. Just with us being this close, my body starts to warm up already, something that the various layers of clothing couldn't do.
Will comes very close, his lips a breath away, my lips tingling with the closeness.
"This," he says and finally touches his lips to mine, which makes me sigh contentedly. I open my mouth eager to taste him, but Will teases me by only giving me a taste of his lips without deepening it. He kisses my upper lip and then he sucks the lower one between his lips, making me moan.
The kiss warms me from head to toe and causes delicious chills. Will nibbles at my bottom lip and then finally deepens our kiss what pulls out moans from both of us.
With that things get much hotter, it's like I can't get close enough, Will pulls me tighter against him and I press myself to him, wrapping my arms around his neck, plunging my gloved hands into his hair.
I want to get closer. I want to deepen our contact, but all the winter clothes make it impossible, my desire is to get rid of all of them and merge with Will.
My mother's voice calling us in the distance makes us break the kiss, but we don't move away.
"I think ... we should ... go. Now ... that we are warm," Will says, breathlessly.
"Yeah. That's ... a good idea," I say, equally breathless.
We then head back to where our parents are waiting. Next stop, the top of Mauna Kea where we'll see the sunset above the clouds.
