"Cone, should I wear the turtle neck or the hoodie?" I asked, shaking the items.

"Pants?" She asked, typing away on her computer.

"Mom jeans," I replied, putting the turtle neck and hoodie on her bed.

"Shoes?" She asked I looked up.

"I don't really know...um...checkered slip ons," I said, she nodded looking at me.

"Turtle neck, but not this one. I have a beige on in my closet. Now go, I have got to finish this college application."

That's something I forgot to mention. Conner might move to new york to go to college if she gets in. She's applying to three, all having different majors.

I'm going to miss her, but she won't be too far. Plus I can always get a roommate or a pet to keep me company. I'm the oldest, Conner 1 year younger and we have a younger sister whos 11.

"Okay, after I get this on, I'm leaving. So Farwell sis. Love ya." I said, slipping out of her room.

I quickly changed, throwing on a denim jacket to seal the deal. I grabbed my purse, running out of the house since it was 6:56. The bbq started almost 20 min ago.

I drove over to Jim's house, which took 5 minutes, with an extra five minutes because I'm stupid and forgot his address and just drove around until I recognized the office's cars.

One I had parked it was 7:09. I'm too late. I looked up and ran to the door. As I got there my breaths became shorter and louder. I knocked, still breathing heavily.

The door then opened, I looked up, expecting to see Jim, but instead was met with a man who looked to be younger than me.

"Sorry I was just hyperventilating on your porch, I think I have the wrong hous-"

"Wait, your Lana." I nodded, finally keeping a steady breath.

"Yeah, um, who are you exactly?" I asked, standing up straighter.

"I'm Mark, Jim's roommate." I looked at him with a blank expression. Suddenly his hand extended, I took it shaking it.

"Oh, oh my god. Um, sorry, I forgot Jim had a roommate." I said, dropping his hand as I stood there, it was awkward but thank the lord Pam showed up.

"Oh hey, Lana. I see you've met Mark. Why don't you just come inside." Pam explained, Mark gave me a small wave and then walked away from the door leaving me and Pam.

I snickered, going inside. Pam immediately hugged me, saying a string of words that were along the line of "This party was boring without you.".

"What about Jim?" I asked, looking around surprisingly but not shocking clean house.

"Oh, he's upstairs with the crew, giving a house tour." She explained, pointing upstairs.

"I'm, uh, going to head up to say hi, kay? I'll meet you by the grill in a little." Pam nodded, walking away.

I walked up the stairs, noticing a few picture hung up on the wall. Of course, I stopped to look at them all.

I stopped walking and peeked into a room, it had white walls and posters all over. Like a teenage boy, only more mature.

I hoped that this was Jim's room, because if it was Mark's. Wow, that would be pretty awkward.

I slowly walked in, one step in, there was the smell of the cologne Jim usually wore. I'm not creepy, I've just hugged him a lot.

Suddenly, as I was going through his books, I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around to see Jim, and the camera right behind him.

"Hey," I said, pulling at my sleeves.

"Hey." He said, walking towards me, stopping a couple of steps in front of me.

"Mark and Pam said you came to look for me, I was giving a house tour." He said, shaking his head. I sighed, looking around the room.

"I wanted a house tour," I said, pouting a little.

"Well, you didn't get here on time. Bad girls don't get good things." He said, wagging his finger.

"Well, at least I found your...year book!" I yelled, pulling the book out from behind my back, shaking it in his face.

He laughed, walking over to his desk chair and sitting down.

"Yeah, great. Um, totally not awkward at all." He said, amusement laced in his voice, as well as sarcasm.

I opened the book, flipping pages until I spotted a familiar face. I laughed loudly, snorting a little.

"Did you just snort?" Jim asked I laughed a little harder, throwing my head back.

"Wow, your such a child." He said, amused by my amused state.

"You're so... oh my god," I said, chuckling a little.

"Wow, that makes me so much more confident." He said, sarcastically. I giggled a little, rubbing his photo.

"I'm just kidding. You look dorky but good." I complimented, smiling.

He nodded, "Thank you. And also. Ryans gonna ask you out." Jim said, making me look up from the pictures.

"No, he isn't," I said, dumbfounded. Jim nodded.

"Hey, you brought this on Your self," Jim said, putting his hands up in defeat.

"I'm offended. But flattered. But offended. Because of you and Ryan." I said, looking back down at the picture.

"Okay, we must now have a silent moment for this picture," I said, putting my hands up.

"Okay. Whatever you say, chief."
