"And now he wants to adopt a baby." Pam whispered, I silently laughed as I grabbed a skittle from the small container on the reception desk.

"With our salary, no way." I shook my head, the small skittle muffling my voice.

She smiled as she looked back down at her computer. I sighed.

"So the convention trip, huh?" She asked, awkwardness laced in her voice.

I smiled, nudging her shoulder with my hand.

"Don't be a stranger." I laughed, diverting the attention to the decreasing awkwardness.

She smiled.

"But, seriously Lana. I know we haven't talked about....it..ever since it happened but...Are you sure you're going to be okay with Jim at the convention? I mean, I do run your schedule, I could easily change toda-"

-INTERVIEW

"Yeah. Um, there's this annual paper convention that managers go to. And since I'm second in command here at the office, Its mandatory, so I have to go."  I sighed, white smiling at the camera.

"Yes. Because of the promotion, Jim will also be coming in from...Connecticut, I believe. I haven't, uh, really been looking to much into him since-No- nothing." I awkwardly scratched the back of my hand. A weird habit I have.

-INTERVIEW

I chuckled as I looked at her, she was staring at me with sympathetic eyes and a small frown on her face.

I sighed for The 100th time this morning and shook my head. A sad smile forming like all those months ago.

"Pam, honestly I'm going to be fine. I appreciate it but, I'll be fine. Plus, we've talked before." She gave me a 'really Lana?' look as I chuckled.

"Yeah. Like two months ago. And, the only words you said were "Hi, I'm good, what about you?, good good.""She protested, I just weakly smiled.

"I'll be fine, Pam. Plus, the only thing you should be worrying about it your date tonight." I wiggles my eyebrows, she giggled looking down at her computer.

I let out a deep breath when I saw Michael and Dwight step out of Michaels office. I pulled up the handle on my suitcase as I noticed Kelly walk over to us. We still weren't on the best terms. But I seriously didn't not care, I mean she got me out of a toxic relationship so..I guess I should....thank her one ....day.....

"What are you two talking about?" She asked, glaring at me. I looked towards Pam.

"Nothing of importance." I responded, letting out a sigh. I think this job has really brought my personality down. But I like my job, so probably not that. It can be crazy at times, but I love it.

"About the date." Pam responded, throwing me a slight glare. I smiled as I put my hands up. As Jim used to do when....

"Well, remember, no matter how much you want to, do not sleep with him on the first date, it gives him all the power." She said, I furrowed my eyebrows at Kelly.

"Sleep with whom? Whom. Whom?" Michael butted in, carrying his luggage as well as a grey shirt that had the logo of 'Dunder muffin paper company' sprawled out in a tiny space.

I completely gave up on the conversation as I fell onto the couch close to the door.

A soft groan left my lips when I leant back and my head hit the wall with a slight thump. I immediately pulled my head away and massaged it.

I was really tired today. Valerie kept me up all night with a T.V show she had found. It was actually really good, it was called Psych.

"....Jim...." Had caught my attention as I finally tuned into the conversation again.
