Our overnight visit turned into an elongated stay. Sunday morning I woke up, had breakfast with everyone and left Misun in the care of Jungkook to go back to the apartment for some one on one time with Jihoon. I didn't want Misun to hear the things I was going to say, and I knew there would be no way to control my temper once I entered that door.
"Daddy will be right back, sweetie. Will you be okay with Uncle Jungkookie?"
"Not Uncle!", she put her utensils down with a huff and hugged round his arm as he tried to eat his rice, "I'm going to marry Jungkook when I'm big!"
"Oh yeah?", I put my hands on my hips and the guys roared with laughter. Kookie looked very unsettled. "We will see about that."
"Yes we will.", she smiled up at me and suddenly sounded very grown up. I had to laugh.
"Okay well, tell Kookie to take good care of you while I'm gone. I'll be back soon."
I was about to go back and scream at Jihoon, but that little display had put a smile on my face that I couldn't hide. When I arrived, the warm feeling faded and anger crept back up. I stormed up to the apartment and swung open the door.
"JIHOON!", I yelled loudly, letting my rage seep into my voice.
Stomping through the house, I saw her phone still sitting there... she better be here... Opening her bedroom door, nothing had been touched. FUCK!! Come home and act like a God damn mother! Wait... her phone. I had seen that guy's name when she was sexting him. I'll just call him from her phone. I'll call all God damn day till he got pissed off and answered.
There was no answer when I tried, of course. I redialed it about 20 times and eventually it went straight to voicemail. I dared not leave one. I wanted to so bad, but leaving my voice on someone's phone could go very bad for me. Slamming the phone down, I gathered up some essentials and more clothes for Misun and went back home. If that's how she wanted to play this, I was going to keep Misun. To hell with this place, she can come live with me for now. No one from the company ever came to the dorms anyway. I grabbed Misun's school bag and uniform and slammed the door on my way out. Walking past Jihoon's car on the way to mine, I kicked it in frustration.
Everyone was in the living room playing games with Misun when I walked in. They all looked so happy. Misun was all smiles and laughing so much as she clung to Jungkook. I looked at my family having genuine fun together and my whole body felt warm. They really didn't mind having her here at all. Too bad it couldn't stay like this forever. I guess I stood there staring too long, Jungkook looked up and saw me in the doorway. He smiled and placed Misun in Tae's lap as he got up.
"Hey, Marshmallow.", he took my hand and pulled us around the corner, "You're back so soon. I take it she wasn't there?"
"No, not yet, but tomorrow is Monday, she will have to come back tonight to go back to work. When she does, her ass is mine!"
"Shhh...", he calmed my anger and I nodded, "What about Misun? I see you brought more stuff back with you."
"For now, I'm keeping her until I talk to Jihoon and 'persuade' her to be a better mother. I'll take her to school in the morning."
"Who is going to pick her up? We have a full day tomorrow."
"Shit. I don't know. Her mother should be back by then. I guess she will have to."
"What if she's not?"
"Damnit, Kookie, I don't know! She HAS to be back. She works, too."
"Okay, calm down, Whirlwind. It's okay.", Jungkook pulled me in and I felt the panic rise.
