Fox demons, or Kitsune. Kitsune keep their promises and strive to repay any favor. Occasionally a kitsune attaches itself to a person or household, where they can cause all sorts of mischief. A kitsune can have up to nine tails, depending on its age, wisdom and power. The only way to kill a kitsune is to cut off all of its tails, as it is said that one of the tails is its main tail and the source of all its power. Not knowing which tail is the main one, one would have to cut off all its tails to kill it.

The tail of a Kistune increases by one every 100 years. Once a Kitsune gains their ninth tail, and turns 1000, their fur turns either gold or white, becoming a heavenly/celestial fox, the most powerful of the kitsune.

There are 13 fox demon clans in total. The leaders of these clans are the Inari foxes, in other words, the benevolent or celestial foxes. Under them, are the field foxes who are malicious, and mischievous. The 13 clans have a corresponding element. Heaven, Void, Wind, Spirit, Fire, Earth, River, Ocean, Mountain, Forest, Thunder, Time and Sound. The heaven clan foxes are the strongest among the 13. Their clan is well known for having great and wise leaders. Those from that clan are born with white or gold fur, with black or red streaked designs, when attaining their ninth tail and 1000 year, their fur turns to pure white or gold.

Kitsune love playing tricks. They like to take things and hide them from people, or do just about anything else to piss someone off.

A Kitsune's most prized possession is their star ball. It is almost like their life force in a ball. If you get your hands on a Kitsune's star ball, you would have the ability to control the Kitsune, and make it do your bidding. However, Kitsune hate being stripped of their freedom, and when the Kitsune gets its star ball back, there will be serious repercussions for you to deal with.

I smiled twirling the jewel on my table. I heard a rustle outside and hid the jewel, and put on a straight face. My door quietly slid open and Inuyasha and the human girl, Kagome came in. "Well, what do we have here?" I asked.

"Enough of your tricks, (Y/n)." Inuyasha said to me.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." I said to him.

"You have a sacred jewel shard, don't you?" He asked me.

"A what?" I asked.

"You know what he's talking about." Kagome said.

"Hmm.." I smiled at them. "If you can catch me, I might give it to you." I said standing up.

"Catch you." I smiled nodding.

"You have until sunrise. Good luck!" I said and a swirl of fire appeared at my feet, and surrounded me. I used my magic making myself invisible. I left the room, smiling and went up to the roof of the castle. I lay down and watched as the clouds passed overhead.

I could hear their voices coming closer and I sat up. I turned my head seeing Inuyasha's hand on the edge of the roof. He pulled himself up then pulled up Kagome. I frowned seeing them all close. "It's Kikyo all over again." I thought annoyed and stood up, and jumped down onto the ground. I transformed into my fox form and ran through the field below.

It slowly became morning. I sat atop one of the thicker branches on a tree in the stone garden, my tails hanging down as I watched the sun come up. I smiled as I breathed in a gulp of fresh morning air.

"Caught you!" I heard a voice and looked down seeing the human girl.

"You're already out of time." I said hopping off the tree, landing on my paws and a swirl of air surrounded me as I stood back up. "It's sunrise." I said pointing to the lit up sky.

I smiled as she was all upset and I looked behind her seeing it was Inuyasha. He was looking at me with disapproval. I growled a little and turned, walking back to the manor. I made my way back to my room and found my brother there holding some sake. "Have fun?" he asked me.

"As fun as I could with a human." I said sitting next to him.

"If you wanted her to win, you would've gone easier on her." he said.

"Inuyasha would have found me easily.." I muttered crossing my arms.

"After all these years, you're still smitten with that mutt." he said and I punched his arm, making him wince.

"Shut up. He doesn't feel the same. He made it very obvious that day." I said and held out my hand and putting the shard on the table. "I don't want it anymore, it's no fun." I said and stood up and left to go drink some more.

"Stupid dog.. stupid brother... stupid human priestess... her stupid reincarnation.." I mumbled as I walked through the empty halls.

I played with the small necklace around my neck as I sat on the railing, looking over the city below. I could see children chasing each other, parents, and other demons mingling, obnoxiously flirting, and having fun.

"Having fun watching me?" I asked.

"I wasn't watching you." Inuyasha said stopping next to me.

"Whatever." I said and swung my legs back around and planted them back onto the wood floor. "Leaving soon?" I asked.

"Tomorrow morning." he said.

"Let me guess, my brother said you could stay here for the night." I said.

He said nothing, so I assume he was right. "Well, he has more rule then I do so." I turned my back to him. Before I could even start walking, I felt a hand wrap around my wrist. "... Let me go." I said.

"I want to explain." he said.

I scoffed, "No need to." I said turning my head slightly.

"I didn't mean to..." he said. "Your star ball..."

"Forget it, whats done is done." I said shaking his hand off and walked away.
