Inuyasha x reader

Broken

I looked down at Inuyasha, seeing him in pain after our last fight with Naraku. He had told Inuyasha about how Kikyo gave him the jewel shards she took from Kagome. 

~flashback~

The small albino girl, Kanna used her mirror and deflected the wind scar, launching it back at Inuyasha injuring him gravely. I was about to heal Inuyasha, when Naraku showed himself.

"True, it was thanks to that woman that I was able to create you and Kanna." Naraku said reaching into his robes and brought out his share of the sacred jewel. "I'd like to see her face when I show her Inuyasha's head." he said. "There is a woman who used me, Naraku, in order to kill Inuyasha. Some woman.. this Kikyo." He said.

I glanced back seeing Inuyasha was conscious. "I really wish he hadn't heard that.." I thought looking back at Naraku.

"Kikyo personally handed this Sacred Jewel Fragment to me." Naraku put the Sacred Jewel back into his robes.

"She's eager, to see you dead!" Kagura said swinging her fan.

"Get down!" I ordered making a wall of fire. It was hard since fire was a bad match to wind. Luckily, Kagome arrived and deflected the rest of the wind with her sacred arrow.

I glanced behind me seeing Kagome crawling towards Inuyasha, and the look in his eyes. A look of fondness towards her, yet pain and worry at Kikyo's betrayal. I bit my lip and turned looking back at Naraku.

Kagome shot a sacred arrow at Narku, but Kanna stopped it with her arrow. It got swallowed by the mirror, but not deflected. The mirror glowed and souls began shooting out of it. I saw Kagome's soul re-enter her.

"Miroku, the wind tunnel!" I yelled and he nodded climbing over the hill, and used his wind tunnel on them. Kagura blew up a bunch of rocks, causing him to only suck in rocks, letting them escape.

I kneeled next to Inuyasha, he turned to me, and I felt something hit my leg and I looked down at his hand. He was trembling and I reached out and held his hand in mine. 

I pulled out some talismans from my sleeve and set them on fire, and some fox demons appeared at my side. They made a small bed and with the help of Kagome and Miroku, we placed Inuyasha on it, and we went somewhere that would block out wind, rain or prying eyes.

~flash back over~

I was fixing Inuyasha fire rat robe. Sango was resting on the mat since she was hit with her hiraikotsu, Miroku and Kagome was looking for food and some medicinal herbs. I was to stay by Inuyasha in case he got worse. "Ugh." I turned seeing him try to sit up.

"Don't." I said putting a hand on his uninjured shoulder. I felt him flinch under my touch and I pulled my hand back. "... I'll get Kagome.." I said standing up. "Shippo." I called and Shippo came into the small hut. "Watch him." I said leaving the room. I sighed and looked down at the hand he flinched away from. ".. Whatever.." I mumbled and went to find Kagome.

I followed her scent and found her with Miroku and they seemed to be heading back. She saw me and ran to me, :Is something wrong? Did he get worse?!" She asked me in a panic.

"He woke up a little while ago." I said. "I left him with Shippo, he was looking for you." I said to her, smiling a bit.

"M-me?!" she blushed.

".. yeah." I said and held her basket of herbs. "I'll continue looking for more things we can use.. you should head back." I said and she smiled nodding.

I sniffed the air, catching a slight wife of Naraku's scent, and Kikyo. Then both scents disappeared.

I returned with Miroku. We walked slow, and I knew he wanted to say something, but he was able to read the atmosphere enough to not ask me.

When we got back, Shippo told us that Kikyo's should collectors were here and that Inuyasha went after her.

Miroku, Shippo and Kagome ran in the direction Inuyasha went, but I stayed behind. I left the herbs in the shed and took a walk in the forest to clear my head. I found a waterfall and decided to take a bath, and clear my head. I stood in the waterfall and let my ears and tails show. I relaxed and stepped out of the waterfall. I stepped onto dry ground and balls of fire swirled surrounded me, drying me.

The air was thick with the smell of human blood and I frowned covering my nose. I followed the scent, and found myself at the village and saw a tall purple demon, with a spider burned onto his back. Inuyasha was on the ground injured, and Tetsaiga was broken in half. I frowned sensing something off about Inuyasha. I saw his eyes were completely red. "The demon took over.." I mumbled looking at him fight the demon. With one slash of his claws, he killed the demon. I stepped up beside Kagome, watching Inuyasha. She began walking towards him, and I grabbed her arm, pulling her back.

"Don't." I said.

"It's okay." she said to me and continued walking closer to him. She then ended up right in front of him, and told him to sit, and he was back to normal. I turned and picked up the broken piece of Tetsaiga. I picked up the other half with my fire, since I couldn't touch it.

I threw them at him and he easily caught them. Before he could say anything, I walked away.
