I lay down on the grass, under a tree as the wind blew by gently, ruffling the leaves and making my ears twitch. It's been days since I've left Inuyasha's group and it's been peaceful, literally. There is no one constantly flirting, complaining about food or the weather, or starting arguments, but there is also no one to talk to. I've considered going to find Seshomaru, and travel with him, but decided against that when I remembered he was now traveling with a young human girl. I have nothing against her, but I've been around enough humans the past month. Going to Naraku was a thought, but considering that even though I'd have someone to talk to, I'll have to listen to him talk to himself and brood over Kikyo and his plans.
"... clouds are nice, going around the world without a care... when they disappear do they die..... but they aren't alive so no..." I wondered. "And I'm talking to myself... great.." I sighed and closed my eyes.

"Where could she be, always making trouble.." Inuyasha grumbled as him and his friends bumbled their way through a forest.
"Are you sure she went this way?" Kagome asked as she had to slide down another fallen tree trunk.
"I'm sure!" Inuyasha yelled waiting a few feet ahead of the others.
"I thought you said you lost her scent." Sango said jumping off the tree trunk.
"Well.. she was heading in this direction before I lost it!" Inuyasha said and continued walking as they all cleared the obstacle.
"(Y/n).. where did you go.." Inuyasha thought as he stared up at the sky.

The past few days I've been sleeping in a cave. It's pretty nice honestly. It was raining one night and so I came into this cave and made a fire to stay warm. When I made the fire, I saw the cave was larger than I thought, so I decided to follow it. I walked and walked and found a small entrance that I could fit through in my fox form. I went through it and it opened up to a larger cave and at the mouth of the cave was a waterfall. I found on the other side of the waterfall was just pastures of dark green grass and a river going through the hills, down to villages that were beyond the pastures.
I lay on my small bed, that I totally did not steal from the villages. I had small fire balls to keep me warm at night and I would go back into the forest for food, relax on the pastures, and get water from the waterfall.

"Inuyasha, lets take a break, it's getting late and tonight is a new moon." Kagome told Inuyasha as the skies grew darker.
".. fine." Inuyasha sighed.
"I found a cave!" Shippo called out to the others.
They all herded themselves in, sitting at the back and making a fire.

I stretched my arms out as I walked into the cave behind the waterfall, but stopped noticing a feint orange light on the other side of the crevice in the wall.
I turned into my fox form so my foot steps were softer and made my way closer to see who it was. Before I could look, I heard voices that I knew too well.
"We should focus on Naraku."
"That was Kagome." I thought.
"She left and we should respect her choice."
"That was Miroku." I thought.
"She can take care of herself."
"And Sango.." I continued to listen.
