A small typo in the last chapter. Samaira is returning to UAE after 4 weeks.
........................********......................

"Do you have any idea about what you are doing? "Samaira hissed as she bandaged Ayush's fingers.

"No."he replied nonchalantly.

"Oh yeah! You won't. Because you are broken and none of us are. Right? "she hissed again as she tightened the bandage.

"Look.. I know how it feels to lose your.... wife.. You know that I do. And I know how it feels when you recollect the memories that you spent with her."she stopped abruptly and stood up.

"I don't want to kidnap your daughter and make her stay with me. And then make her forget you. I know you won't be able to stay away from your child when you've lost your better half. The same reason why I denied Naveen from taking any of my kids with him. He too doesn't give a damn.
I won't take your daughter to Dubai forcefully because I don't want her to feel the void of a father while trying to be her mother. I know how much the presence of both mother and father matters to a child. Though she is not old enough to recognize that, I know how much you are dependent on her. How much your life is dependent on her. "

Ayush was speechless while Samaira continued, "I just can't imagine my best friend's daughter crying for mother's milk when I'm alive. I just don't want any stranger to cradle my Praniti's daughter when I have already made her mine. I just won't be able to watch my own daughter calling a maid her mother when I'm here. I may sound jealous and selfish. But... I just accepted her as my own blood within these days. I know you won't be liking this at all but... But.. I will happily look after her if I'm given a chance. "

Samaira turned her face away as her eyes precipitated heavily.

Ayush could not think of anything at the moment. He was totally stunned by the words of the woman who had her back to him. How could he possibly deny this request? Who could?

The sky was dark all of a sudden. Soft blue patches of clouds concealed it's brightness.
Mother nature was all ready for a downpour, so were a pair of eyes. The sky did not take too long to rain. Soon the heavy droplets of cold water kissed the earth.
Samaira remembered very well the last time she drenched in the rain. She was abandoned by her husband whom she loved beyond measures.
She closed her eyes tightly. The pain that began from the middle of her eyebrows spread to her knuckles and then her whole head.
Without a second thought, she tilted her face upwards and welcomed the large drops of water to touch her face.

Nature is the best healer ever known.

Her best friend had left this world after giving her a huge responsibility. The duty of looking after her infant daughter and lending a shoulder to her broken husband.

But was she ready? When she was at the verge of demolition, how could she heal another soul which can break down any minute?any second?

Ayush has agreed to take his daughter with her as he thinks she will be looked after better. But Samaira knew how weak he was. If she was in his place, she won't allow anyone to separate her from her children. She also knew Praniti wanted more from her.

But how could she go ahead and ask him to marry her?People would think she is mad. What would society talk about her? They would say she married her friend's husband just a few weeks after her death. The rumours that would follow will be enough to break her completely.

She stood still as she stared at the balcony of the house where she saw him, pouring a drink to a glass.

---***---
The brownish red liquid poured into the glass and he picked it up slowly.
