We walked towards the building, the sun beating down on us.

"Are we sure that this place is inhabited?" I scoffed, looking up at the derelict structure.

"I know what I saw. And I saw lights." Frypan nodded.

"That's good enough for me." Newt spoke as he walked forwards. I gulped and took Thomas's hand, making him look at me and give me a reassuring smile as we walked forwards.

"Minho, Thomas, help me." Newt spoke as he tried to open the massive metal doors at the front of the building. Thomas and Minho helped him, all three of them pulling the doors apart. I gulped as Thomas turned on his flashlight and shone it into the building. He looked at us.

"Looks like we're pretty alone." Thomas sighed before we started to walk in. We all turned on our flashlights and shone them around the apparently abandoned building.

"What the fuck happened to this place?" Thomas scoffed.

"The same thing that happened to everything else. The flare." Minho mumbled. I shone my flashlight up and gulped as rusty water dripped down from the ceiling and landed against the concrete floor. I wandered ahead a bit, shining my flashlight into the dark hallway. My eyes widened and I screamed as suddenly a crank launched itself at me.

"Jesus!" Thomas gasped as he pulled me back.

"Wait, it's chained up." Minho scoffed. I screamed as another crank launched itself at us, followed by another four, trapping us in a circle.

"They're all chained up, what the fuck?" Newt spoke.

"Back, hermanoes. Pull the dogs back." Our eyes widened as suddenly, the cranks started to be pulled back, but were replaced by dozens of people coming forwards and pointing guns at us.

"Woah, woah, hey!" Thomas yelled as they surrounded us. Thomas pushed me behind him, shielding me with his body.

"You're a long way from home, hermano." A man spoke as he walked out of the shadows, a girl next to him. Thomas gulped and looked at him.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"No, no, no, the question is, who are you?" the man smirked, walking forwards.

"The WICKD compound sent out a message a couple days ago, saying that a few of their little test subjects had escaped from them. Four guys and a girl. And you all match the descriptions sent out. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that the escaped test subjects just ran right into my hands." He smirked.

"You're wrong. We're not them." Minho lied. The man looked at him and smirked.

"You sure?" he asked. My eyes widened as we were all grabbed by the men.

"Hey, get off of me." I spat as they took my neck and scanned the back of it with a device, doing the same to the boys. The man looked at the guy who had scanned me, who nodded.

"Oh, dear me, senorita. You're very valuable to WICKD, as is your little boyfriend here." He nodded at Thomas.

"Why? Why are we so valuable?" Thomas asked.

"According to WICKD, your blood is unique. Your blood is the ultimate cure. And WICKD wants that." He smirked. My eyes widened as the man raised their guns again and pointed them at us.

"Let's not do anything hasty, we're not going to hurt you." Newt spoke.

"Not directly, no. But WICKD will come here looking for you and you better believe that they'll kill every single one of us to get to you. Sorry, hermanoes. My hands are tied." He shrugged, making the man grab us.
