~One year later~Sun streamed through the makeshift window in mine and Thomas's shack, the breeze gently making the pieces of fabric that were drapes flow slightly. My eyes fluttered open, but then squinted as they were met with the light. I yawned as I opened them fully before looking over my shoulder.
"I don't know what I expected." I chuckled as I saw that Thomas was already up and therefore not beside me. I sat up and stretched out, groaning slightly. I looked down as my stomach grumbled.
"I know, I know, you're hungry, give me a chance." I chuckled, talking to my five-month pregnant bump as I rested a hand against it. I stood up and got my shoes on before walking out onto the beach. Immediately, the sea's breeze gently hit me in the face, making me close my eyes and smile. After all, it had become my favourite part of the day. I placed a hand on my small bump as I walked through the safe haven, smiling as I was greeted by people.
"Y/N!" I looked up and smiled as I saw Brenda in the distance.
"You've started to show!" she shouted, making me laugh and nod.
"Five months and counting." I yelled back, making her smile as she walked on. I chuckled to myself as I walked into the breakfast shack and looked around.
"Morning, greenie." Minho smiled at me as I sat at the table that him and Newt were at.
"We've been out of the maze for nearly three years, and yet you still call me that." I smiled, leaning back and resting a hand against my bump.
"Yeah, it used to piss Thomas off to no end, so it's now a fun little nickname for both of you." He admitted, smirking.
"I'll take it." I chuckled, making him laugh.
"So, you got any movement yet?" Newt asked.
"A little. I can feel her shift every so often." I nodded. Minho and Newt looked at each other.
"Her? How do you know that it's a girl?" Minho asked.
"Well, I don't, but one of my only memories I have of my mom is when she used to tell me that when she was pregnant with me, she always craved watermelon, and when she was pregnant with my brother, she always craved apples. Guess what I've been constantly craving since I got pregnant?" I scoffed.
"Watermelon." Minho nodded.
"Exactly." I smiled, making the guys chuckle.
"Airtight logic, that." Newt nodded, making me return it.
"Speaking of my baby, where's Thomas? I haven't seen him yet this morning." I spoke.
"Vince gave himself and Thomas the morning off to make the crib, so they're in Vince's shack." Minho replied.
"I know where I'm going, then." I nodded as I stood up.
"See you guys later." I spoke as I started to leave the shack.
"Bye, greenie!" Minho shouted after me, laughing as I held my middle finger up at him and making me smile to myself. I walked to Vince's shack and smiled as I stood at the doorway, just watching.
"Can I have some more vine, please?" Thomas asked, holding out his hand as he held together two pieces of bamboo.
"You got it." Vince nodded, handing him the vine. Thomas took it and weaved it in between the pieces, joining them together. Vince looked up and smiled as he saw me.
"Thomas, we have a visitor." He spoke. Thomas looked up and smiled.
"Morning, you." He smiled, standing up.
