THIRD'S POV

There was no way she was going to cry, it would be even a single drop. She wasn't going to cry for being stupid, she wasn't going to cry for having her heart broken, no because Ruby Jane was telling herself she was different. What's the point of hurting yourself when she had made her own decisions, she thought. But God, she hated lying to herself because she was going to cry for being stupid, she was going to cry for a broken heart because in the end, she wasn't so different than the others. She hated being vulnerable in the eyes of others and probably looked pathetic standing in the middle of the crowd with her eyes filling with tears. She wanted to make fun of her for looking like those characters in love movies where they regretted the choices they had made. A teardrop that ran down her soft cheek that Lisa used to caress, she wiped it with her thumb. Everything reminded her of Lisa, no matter what she did, she was keeping her mind busy and she knew she had started a dangerous game since they first met.

RUBY JANE'S POV

A hostess standing behind the counter was looking at me with concern. She probably thought I was a suicidal girl and that I was planning to do it right in the middle of the airport. Not wanting to attract more attention from the travelers, it was time for me to go home and stuff myself with a chocolate bar in my bed. It was a good way to comfort yourself. I turned around on my heels and kept my head down when I saw a pair of shoes that I was willing to bet I had seen them recently somewhere. It was possible to have seen them in a store but it was a less commercialized model and the only person who could wear something different than the others, there was only one.

"Lisa?" actually, I don't know if it was a question or an exclamation, but I was convinced that my knees had become weak.

"Ruby Jane? What are you doing here?" she asked in a broken voice as if she could not believe that I was standing in front of her.

"Did you miss your flight? I mean, you were supposed to be on the plane a few minutes ago," my shock was replaced by confusion. Was there another flight to Seoul? But she sighed and looked at her feet, which could no longer even stay in place.

"It was my flight but I did it on purpose to miss it," she was now embarrassed. A fine pink tint appeared on her cheeks.

"But why?"she was looking at me now that my breathing hitched. Her eyes, which I loved to admire, were all focused on me.

"Because I remembered why I came here and I certainly wasn't going to give up easily," she let a faint smile appear, which caused rapid heartbeats that I thought it would explode.

"Oh," was the only I could say. Actually, I was suddenly so shy in front of her that I didn't know what to do. I was probably very awkward because I heard her giggling discreetly and she immediately stopped when I glared at her, but I also had to control myself to not laugh when I saw her face," And... huh... do you have a place to stay?" I cleared my throat and tried to not stutter.

What happened to you, Ruby Jane?!

"No, actually, if you could help me find a place, that would be nice of you," she scratched the back of her neck. I wasn't selfish and mean to make her pay in one of those 4-star hotels where the beds weren't even comfortable.

"If it's okay with you, you can stay at my place, well, if you feel uncomfortable, I can still-" she cut me a little too excited and regained her posture by standing up straight.

"Yes! Oh, I mean, it's perfect. If you're okay, I'm okay, too," she avoided looking at me for too long because I could see her ears changing colors, something I found adorable about her.

"Okay, let's go then. We have a long way to go," I nodded to her so she would follow me. She pulled out her suitcase and followed me without saying anything towards the exit. However, I could hear her joyfully leaping and whispering "yes yes yes!" behind me. I shook my head trying to remove that smile I had, she was really going to be the death of me.
