Lyn's PoV
I lied to Matthew because I and my friend which is also his friend has a plan, I will act like I won't be coming but the truth is I'm coming, Nisha just has to fetch me and show the way on how to go to Matthew's house by also lying to him that she'll just get her gift which was me.

"Nisha!!" I ran and hugged her but I was surprised to see a boy standing next to her.

"I'm not surprised that you've brought your boyfriend too." I just whispered in her ear.

"Come on now, the birthday boy is already waiting for your arrivals" She leads the way, I followed after her and her boyfriend is behind us. So by now, I'm a third-wheel. This is very awkward.

"So how has it been?" She told me that it wasn't that far so we'll just walk.

"It's been 1 year and a half now. I missed you very much." I hugged her after she said that and I guess her boyfriend got jealous.

"Well, you'll be missing me very much by next year too because I'll be leaving the country after this school year" We chatted and laugh together with her boyfriend.

"Matthew!! I have your gift right here!!" Nish shouted and I saw Matthew for the very first time without a top and it's a very weird first encounter. I and Matthew never got a chance to meet every time we will be setting a meet up because of many reasons and this was our first meeting, his birthday.

"WHAT THE! NISHA!" He put on his shirt fast and just walked up to me but I hide behind Nish only to be pulled closer to her boyfriend so, in short, I and Matthew were close to each other by only a little gap. I was enjoying being able to get rained on but Matthew happens to pull my bag to let me be not rained anymore

"You'll get sick if you won't take care of yourself, if you don't want to take care of yourself then let me do it." After he was done buying ice we went to his house, their friends were there and I'm the only one who's different in the room.

"Ey! The birthday boy is finally here with Nisha and Gav-May I ask who this lovely and cute little girl is?" A tall boy asked and had taken my hand to pull me closer to him.

"Hey Cedrick doesn't come closer to my girl or else you'll get punched by the fist!" I looked down from embarrassment and him who looked taken back because of Matthew's word and removed his hand from my hand.

"Look, man, I'm sorry but I'm really shock cause my not-blooded brother is now a grown-up!" I saw him messing up Matthew's hair and Matthew who looks just happy that he said it.

"Hi! I'm Carmen Adele. I'm glad Matthew met someone like you and applied as your suitor well I'll be leaving you in his arms."

"My Gosh Carmen! Be ashamed of your words that come out of your mouth for once, anyway it's time to sing Happy Birthday to the birthday boy Matthew!"

"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday, Bro/Matthew!" His friend cracked an egg in his head making him run to the restroom and take a bath for he is embarrassed because of what had happened. The party went well but I decided to go out even if it's raining.

"Hey, you should be inside." I turned around and saw Matthew.

"Shouldn't you be inside because you're the birthday boy?" He just laughs and walks closer to me, now he's standing beside me, smiling.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Because this is the best birthday gift anyone had given me. Lyn, will you take a walk with me while raining?" I just nod and that made him more smile, he got his umbrella and the walk with only the two of us started. How I met Matthew was funny and interesting in many ways.
