Things are getting better finally

Charlotte's POV

After Kyle and I let go of each other her showed me the rest of the apartment finishing in my room. Opening the door he look towards me 'This is your room, feel free to decorate it however you want' he smiled letting me passed into the room. 

'Thank you Kyle' I placed my bag by the dresser as I admired the room. It was at least twice the size of my old bedroom, it had a queen bed, a wooden desk in the corner, dresser with mirror and then the wardrobe which I opened up was huge. It had not only clothing storage but it had shoe cubby holes and a miniature built in bookshelf. I turned to Kyle. 

'It's amazing' he chuckled at my excitement but I ignored him. Going over to the window I looked out and I could see the whole city from here, it felt like I was on top of the world. The last thing to do to christen this room was simple; I moved away from the window and turned around. Taking two big steps I leaped on to the bed, it was so soft and warm. I could hear Kyle laughing in the doorway. 

'God your adorable' he said. I could feel my cheeks redden and began giggling as well. When the laughter stopped I climbed off the bed. 

'I have to get some stuff from my car, I'll be back' I said as I slipped passed Kyle and headed to the front door. Kyle followed me. 

'I'll help you' with that we both went down stairs to my car and grabbed the box and a few other things from my boot before we headed back up to the apartment. Once we dropped the things down in my room Kyle turned to me 'I'll let you settle in, what would you like for dinner?' he smiled. 

'Hmm, Pizza sounds good but just so you know I'm vegetarian so don't order meat lovers' I chuckled. 

'Okay one meat lovers Pizza coming up' he teased 

'Kyle' I pouted. Holding his hands up in surrender 

'Okay, okay I'll order a vegetarian Pizza' I laughed as he retreated back towards the kitchen. Closing my door I looked at the space and started imagining everything that I could do with the space. I started by opening the wardrobe and hanging all of Jordy's hoodies up, then I placed the photo of Jordy and I on the dresser. Stopping for a moment I looked at it 'I think I made the right choice Jordy' I smiled and continued unpacking. All my books were on the bookshelf, my pens and journal were on my desk. My sketch book and pencil case was on the desk as well.

Looking in the box I saw one thing left inside; my poetry book. Looking at the book I didn't know if I wanted it, at a time this book meant everything to me because it reminded me of a time when my father wasn't cruel but loving, on the other hand it reminded me of my father and all the nights he beat me until I couldn't move. A tear runs along my check as my door opened. Looking up I see Kyle and his expression of happiness is replaced by one of worried as he crossed the room to me. Wrapping his arms around me he reassured me 'It's okay Charlie, I'm here' I smiled and stepped out of the hug. Looking up at Kyle he seemed confused, I held the book up. 

'My Father gave this to me the birthday before my mother left, I was deciding if I wanted to keep it or not' he didn't look as confused now and his smile returned. I place the book in the top drawer of the dresser before turning back to him 'Is the pizza here yet? I'm starving' I joke and he laughs. 

'That's why I came in here. It is in the living room let's go eat it before it gets cold'. I followed Kyle out to the living room and sat next to him on the couch. Grabbing a piece of Pizza I bit into it 

'Mmmm this is so good' he smiled at me. This was the first decent food I have had in almost a week. Until I bit into this I had no idea how hungry I really was. I didn't want Kyle thinking I was actually starved because he would have a fit so I only ate 3 pieces to keep suspicion away. After we finished eating Kyle turned to me.
