𝕷eather isn't typically worn in Auradon; it wasn't clean and royally fitting, especially as a princess.
"Do we have to wear leather?"
Rilynn stepped out from behind the privacy barrier, leaving her skirt and shirt behind, which were replaced with a leather skirt and a darker shirt. Rilynn wasn't used to dressing as rebellious as this. She didn't feel like herself while wearing this, but Evie was adamant.
The princess pulled her hair from the purple leather jacket and fixed the matching skirt. Rilynn looked down at her outfit, feeling slightly self-conscious that she might look ridiculous. Her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail, and her eyes were coated with more makeup than usual--Evie might've gotten a little too excited.
Evie looked at Rilynn pointedly. "Uh, yes," she clicks her tongue. "This is the Isle we're talking about. You have to look the part if we wanna blend in." Evie picks a couple of pieces of jewelry from her bag, holding them up in front of Rilynn. "Rhinestones or gems?"
"Um, gems, I guess?"
Evie moved around and added a gem to Rilynn's hair. A squeal of excitement jumped out of Evie when she stepped back, taking a good look at her creation. This was the best feeling ever; Evie had been dying to create an outfit for Rilynn to give her a taste of the Isle. Evie loved the outcome.
"Fabulous," Evie smiled boldly. She held her head high with pride. "You look amazing. How does it feel to be like the VKs?"
Rilynn checked herself in the mirror; although she was hesitant about the outfit, it started to grow on Rilynn the more she looked at her outfit. She needed to blend in with the Isle if they wanted to find Mal, and unfortunately, Rilynn and Ben would've stuck out like a sore thumb. They dressed so preppy that it would certainly cause a commotion. Everyone would've noticed if they went looking like they do, and Rilynn isn't sure what would've happened. She doesn't want to know.
The VKs aren't exactly their favorite people in the whole world, and if someone spotted them, who knows who would've hunted them down? Rilynn doesn't know who the VKs might've angered, but considering they never finished what they started, they're most likely on everyone's bad side.
Rilynn didn't know what to say. "Um," she laughs awkwardly, shrugging. "Probably not."
Evie chuckles. "We'll work on that," she grabs Rilynn's shoulders, turning her around and leading them both where they needed to be. "Let's go. We don't have all night."
This sounded like an impossible job; they only had a couple of hours before everyone started waking up and then noticed five students--one being the king. They hashed out a plan before returning to their dorms, swapping out their clothes before meeting up outside.
It was the first time Rilynn was ever sneaking out. It was rebellious, sneaky, embarrassingly thrilling, and Rilynn silently freaked out on the inside. She couldn't believe she was doing this. She was up after curfew and leaving Auradon to go to the Isle. Rilynn never thought she'd do something as risky as sneaking away to an island filled with villains.
Rilynn hoped they didn't run into any of the big villains; that would be terrifying, but Rilynn also didn't know what they would do if someone did spot them. Undoubtedly, they'd all be noticed if someone had a vendetta against them.
Eventually, the girls slipped out the doors and went downstairs; they met Jay and Ben in the hallway.
"What are you guys doing? You're supposed to be getting the limo," Evie managed to hiss even while whispering. She narrowed her eyes at the two.
