𝕽ilynn walked out into the field with Jay and Carlos still trailing behind, muttering amongst themselves. The white-haired boy was displeased with the idea of playing sports, preferring being inside and working with his stolen laptop. However, trying to fit in with the crowd that doesn't suit them, Carlos and Jay were recommended to use their skills out on the field. So, that's what they were doing. Carlos didn't know what skill they were looking for out of him, but Jay made him tag along.

The princess walking ahead was trying to clear her mind of a certain someone invading her thoughts, but it was proving a little complicated--look at Rilynn's face; she was turning red!

"Rilynn," called a voice from afar. Rilynn looked up and was glad to see Chad strutting toward her with a cocky grin on his lips. "Come to watch me play? Hopefully, you'll be cheering for me?"

Okay, maybe Rilynn wasn't happy to see Chad; lately, the princess wanted to keep her distance from the prince, sensing a strain in their relationship. Rilynn didn't want to confront Chad about her feelings regarding their relationship because they were still friends, and Rilynn was quite afraid to lose him. She knew there were no sparks, fireworks--nada--that ignited between them; it was empty and boring. Chad was always Rilynn's friend initially until they became more than friends.

Chad managed to stuff every thought about Jay in the back of Rilynn's mind, probably from guilt, but the princess was guilty because she was thinking of another boy while her boyfriend was standing right before her.

Was it wrong of Rilynn to feel some type of way with Jay than with Chad?

It was stupid, Rilynn knew; Jay was merely a stranger to her, not a single thing they had in common. But still, Rilynn had never felt this way with Chad. The way Jay spoke to the way he stood, how he smirked at her with a glint in his eyes, and how he formed his words that made Rilynn shiver. It was strange, that's for sure. Rilynn doesn't know how to explain the reaction she gets whenever she's around Jay; the way they talk, it's as if they've known each other forever.

No. Rilynn couldn't think about the thief, who was merely a couple of feet behind her, laughing loudly at Carlos's words. She knows nothing about him, and though he's a villain--a villain that no one would accept--Rilynn could never think about the idea of them dating.

Mustering an encouraging smile, Rilynn bounced on her toes. "I always cheer for you," she said. "And Ben," Rilynn added, not noticing that smile on Chad's face slowly melting away. "Where is he, by the way?"

Chad didn't appreciate the dismissal of the support he wanted from Rilynn; he merely crumbled dejectedly and followed the princess's pace toward the open field. Chad is a complicated prince, that's for sure.

"Beats me," sighed Chad, tucking his helmet between his hip and arm. "Left the locker room before me." He glanced over his shoulder, glaring at the villain boys following them in their own conversation. "They're not giving you any trouble, are they? I know that Jay guy can be a lot of work, but if he ever bothers you, tell me, and I'll put him in his place."

That had caught Rilynn by surprise. She always knew the villain kids would be the main topic amongst many students, and Rilynn suspected that everyone must be wondering how she handled the situation. Many students weren't keen on the idea of the four villains going to their school as if their parents didn't try to kill their peer's parents, so they often side-glanced at Rilynn like she was crazy, trying to figure out what Rilynn saw in them.

But to hear Chad threaten the lot of them--to threaten Jay--alerted Rilynn. Maybe not for Jay's safety, but rather Chad's; the prince isn't the most physically enhanced-looking guy, most likely never lifting a finger on anything his whole life because he probably had someone else to do his work for him. Rilynn is worried that if Chad tries to start something with the villain kids, he's bound to get himself hurt. As generous as it may sound, Rilynn wasn't keen on asking Chad for help.
