𝕬t some point, the guys and girls split into two groups, going separate ways; the girls went to inspect Audrey's dorm for clues, while the guys went after Ben. They needed to cover more ground and would get nowhere if they stuck together. Mal knew they couldn't find Ben and stop Audrey simultaneously, so breaking off into two groups was the best solution.

As much as Mal would've wanted to find Ben, she needed to work on stopping Audrey, considering she was about to be Queen of Auradon.

Quinn was significantly impressed by its spaciousness when she entered Audrey's dorm. It didn't beat her room back home, but it was decently sized. It was overly pink, way too pink for Quinn's liking. Maybe if there were a splash of red, a little bit of black in between, it would look eye-catching compared to this monstrosity.

"I always knew Auradon Prep would be this amazing," Quinn gasped, running and diving for the bed. She plopped on top, sighing in satisfaction. "I always pictured my castle as big and beautiful as this."

"If it weren't so pink, I'd agree. It just needs more of the sea's touch, then it would be my end of the hook," Uma snorts as she eyes the room distastefully. "Okay. Find whatever you can that'll tell us where this Audrey girl would go."

Quinn spread like a starfish on the bed, relishing how comfortable the bed was. So much better than the one at home. "Can't we just stay here a little longer? Pretend like we found nothing?" Quinn whines. "This bed is really comfy."

Uma rolls her eyes, smacking Quinn's boot, making the girl open her eyes and shout at her. Uma stared at Quinn, unimpressed. "You know, I really would, but last I checked, there's a psycho Auradon chick trying to destroy all of Auradon."

"So?" Since when did we care about Auradon?

"I think you're forgetting that this chick also hates villains? Once she's finished with Auradon, where do you think she'll go to next?"

Quinn huffed. "The Isle."

"Exactly. And then we'll be left with nothing. Again," Uma started searching Audrey's room, her back turned to the two girls, who still didn't help. "Besides, it's not like you'd let Auradon and everyone get destroyed."

The redhead scoffs, closing her eyes. "Yeah? And what makes you say that?"

"Because you still care about Evie," Uma points out unapologetically. Quinn tensed at the mention of the Evil Queen's daughter; she stared at the ceiling. "I've seen the way you look at her."

Quinn lay frozen on the bed, horrified to hear that accusation out loud. It's been a while since Quinn had thought about Evie in that light, but only because she didn't want to fall into that cycle anymore. She didn't want to be as obsessive and crazy as her mother was. But also, Quinn was so obsessed with Evie that she felt embarrassed whenever she thought about it.

She can't imagine how she looked from another's perspective; it is undoubtedly mortifying.

But seeing Evie again on the Isle . . . Quinn's afraid it might've brought old feelings back that she doesn't want to feel again.

Quinn sat up from the bed, glaring daggers at the back of Uma's head, knowing she was smirking silently to herself. "No, I haven't!" She exclaimed defensively.

Uma snorts. "Yes, you have."

"Have not!"

"Oh, please!" Celia groans. Quinn looked at her, feeling uncomfortable under the spotlight. "Even I noticed you looking at Evie with googly eyes. You're even being nice to her, and I'm just a kid who knows no better."
