It had been a wonderful day for your boyfriend, the fun loving winter spirit and you, the sweetly enthusiastic Halloween spirit. You had already spent the entire day together and now you were going to spend the rest of the evening in each others company.
"Come on, Frosty! If you don't hurry, we're gonna miss it!" You called to Jack as you pulled him up the side of a grassy hill.
"Babe, slow down! You're about to tear my arm out of its socket!" He joked as you continued up the slope.
"Sorry, I just want to see this so badly! Manny only changes the phases of the moon once a month, let alone the color! And on Friday the 13th nonetheless!"
"Wow, (Y/n), you're really dedicated to the whole Halloween spirt thing, aren't you? " Jack laughs as the two of you finally reach the top.
"Yes, I am! Now shush and sit down with me." You say, patting a blanket on the spot next to you. He sits down and pulls you into his side with one arm, kissing your forehead as he does.
"I just don't understand why it's such a big deal. Manny changes the color of the moon all the time."
"Just wait, Jack. It'll be worth the patience." You reply as you begin to pass the time by idly chatting.
After about 20 minutes of talking and light laughter between the two of you, a faint glow caught your attention from out of the corner of your eye. You gasp and point towards the quickly rising moon. Jack turns his head and his eyes widen slightly.
"Look at how beautiful it is!" You exclaim, holding onto the arm of his jacket.
"So, that's why you were so excited to see the moon! It's orange!" Jack realizes as he taps his head with his palm.
"I told you it would be worth the wait! Isn't it awesome?! It's like a big, beautiful pumpkin!" You squeal as you fall back into the grass. Jack lays next to you and grabs your hand.
"Sure, the moon is pretty tonight, but it's nowhere to as gorgeous as you are." Jack croons as he pulls you close to him.
"I love you, Jack..." You sigh as you cuddle into his chest.
"I love you too, (Y/n)."
