Chapter 35

*Alex's P.O.V*

"You have any plans tonight?" My dad asked me as we both were in the living room.

I shook my head. "Not really."

I was too busy on my phone now. But when am I not?

"So you're probably having a night in a night in tonight?"

I nodded. "Most likely."

So my dad doesn't have the night shift while my mom does so he's at home for the night and then my mom will get home until late.

I just happen to be in the living room and now I feel like I wanna go to my room so that I can have some peace and quiet.

"I'm going to head to my room. Get comfy on my bed." I told my dad.

He nodded while he tried to go and find something to watch on the tv. But we'll see if he will find anything.

So I marched to my room with my phone and some snacks because a girl can get hungry when she is in her room.

I was already comfortable with what I was wearing.

I was wearing black sweatpants with a white t-shirt. My hair was in a high bun because I thought it would look fitting with my outfit.

It looked good to me.

Before I even went to my bedroom though, I went to the bathroom to wash my face and quickly brush my teeth.

So that's what happened.

After I did what I said that I was going to do, I went back to my room and then got comfortable on my bed.

I was super tired from a long day.

School is obviously stressing me out and it's only been two weeks since we've been back.

The amount of homework we get is crazy and I'm surprised I can finish it all.

I guess I just don't want to deal with it later so I rush through it without a care.

I had my bed covers over me and they felt cold but I really liked it to be honest.

It's a soothing feeling that can obviously help you go to sleep. I liked that feeling.

I continued to see if there was anything interesting on Instagram until I had gotten a message from Kayleb.

Hmmm, why is he texting me at this hour?

Sometimes he does this and sometimes he doesn't. It just depends really.

I looked at what he sent me.

Kayleb 🔥: Hey, can you meet me at McDonald's in like ten minutes?

What the hell? Why does he want to meet at McDonald's.

Me: why?

Sorry for the very short reply but it's a way for him to tell me what is going on.

I'm so confused right now.

Kayleb 🔥: I need to tell you something. So can you, please?

I wasn't so sure on how to answer him. I was already comfortable in my bed and now he suddenly needs me to go and meet him somewhere.

Why didn't he ask Ellie to do this?

Me: I don't know...

We'll just see what he says for that.

He quickly texted back. He's clearly not messing around right now.
