Chapter 68

*Alex's P.O.V*

So tonight is a night in.

I am going to be enjoying some time alone and watching some movies. It's going to be fantastic.

So it's been a few days since of what had happened with Kayleb. He was able to fix his leg after it had gotten injured and it's been good since. Kayleb is mad at what had happened but I know that he won't be mad after awhile.

Also, Matt hasn't texted me all day today. Should I be worried?

I mean, sure Matt and I would go a few days without texting each other but then that was before him and I started to talk to each other more. Plus, it was when everything was happening.

Matt is still not going to find out what had happened. It'll be best if he didn't find out.

I'm sure that Matt is okay and he will text me when he has the time. I am not going to do anything about it.

I had made some popcorn tonight and I had started the movie. I was going to be watching Disney because I am a Disney nerd.

Nights like these where I am by myself come pretty common when my parents are working the night shift and plus, I find it pretty relaxing.

I ate some of the popcorn that I had with me and I was just enjoying how warm it was. I was enjoying it. Popcorn is one of my favorite food.

I was probably fifteen minutes into the movie when I had my doorbell go off.

Who could that be? It's so late over here and again, it's my alone time.

But it's not like I don't get alone time. I usually get it every night.

Getting up from the couch, I walked over to the front door and opened it. On the other side of it was just my two best friends.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked them.

"We got bored and then just decided to come over." Kayleb said starring at me.

I rolled my eyes at what he said but then let them in. I'm not going to be rude and not invite them into my house. Even though, I wasn't expecting visitors tonight.

Kayleb made his way into the kitchen, like always, and Ellie stayed in the living room.

"What were you doing?" She asked me.

"I was enjoying some alone time and watching movies. I was only fifteen minutes in before you guys showed up." I let her know and she nodded.

"Kayleb and I were just playing board games and then got bored because we had played all of them. Plus, we wanted to be with you so we just came over. Hope you don't mind."

I shook my head. "Even though the visit was unexpected, I'm glad you guys are here. It could be more fun."

Kayleb then came into the living room with a plate of cookies and cream pop tarts.

"Were you hungry?" I asked him.

He shrugged. "I always come here and get some of your food. It's normal."

He wasn't wrong.

"Are you fine after what had happened?" I asked Kayleb.

He looked over at me. "Yeah, I'm okay and the bruising on my head is going away slowly. The pain from my leg is starting to go away too which is good. I don't know why Brandon has to do what he did. It was weird."

Ellie and I just nodded along at what he said.

"So are you going to continue your movie night?" Ellie turned to me.
